John Privett
Evening all! A day earlier than normal, (as I may be out all day tomorrow) it's time to remind us all that the F1 summer break is now over. The Netherlands GP is this weekend. So, first the customary reminder; Don't forget your predictions! As usual, for a 'normal' GP weekend, there are 2 practice sessions tomorrow, Friday. These are at 11:30 and 15:00 UK-time. P3 on Saturday is at 10:30 with qualifying at 14:00. Sunday's race is also at 14:00 Good luck everyone! 1
Charles Pic
I’m quite optimistic for this race… all three of my nominated drivers are starting in the top six on the grid, so if that doesn’t turn into a good result I may as well give up 😝☺️

John Privett
Evening all! Italy this weekend, so first the usual reminder; Don't forget your predictions! P1 saw Verstappen setting fastest lap, but only by 0.046s from Sainz with Perez third followed by Leclerc, Russell, Alonso, Norris and Hamilton. P2 saw Perez crash out having set 3rd fastest time, with Sainz fastest and Norris 2nd. Verstappen set 5th fastest behind Piastri with Leclerc 6th. The Mercedes duo could only set 7th and 17th fastest - Hamilton clearly unhappy with his setup in 17th. P3 is at 11:30 UK-time tomorrow with qualifying at 15:00. Sunday's race starts at 14:00. Erfolg
There are a number who are begrudging the 9 consecutive wins. As for the excuse of my team mates have all been of higher quality, that is why I have never matched it, hmmmmm. A number seem to have chips on their shoulder. The 5 sec penalty for what the two Mercedes drivers seems trivial, in that cost them very little, whereas one victim paid a much higher penalty from the incident. john stones 1 - Moderator
Agree Erf, 5 second penalty ? Example, drive off the track and gain a place you have to give the place back, you damage an opponents car outside the rules, you slot in behind him when he exits pits, 5 seconds is laughable. John Privett
Evening all! Singapore this weekend, so first the traditional reminder; Don't forget your predictions! But what to predict? The leaderboards for P1 and P2 both look rather different to what we've been used to so far this year. P1 saw a Ferrari 1-2 with Leclerc ahead, and Verstappen only 3rd, ahead of Norris, Hamilton and Russell. Perez set 7th fastest time. P2 also saw a Ferrari 1-2, this time it was Sainz in front. Russell, Alonso, Hamilton and Norris followed, with Perez again 7th. But Verstappen could only set 8th fastest time and was complaining that he "never got the car together." P3 is tomorrow at 10:30 UK-time with qualifying following at 14:00. Sunday's race is at 13:00. I'm going to set a 'banker' set of predictions now, and will be ready to amend them tomorrow in the light of whatever P3 throws our way! Good luck everyone! 2
John Privett
That was quite a race today! I was waiting for Ferrari to (metaphorically) shoot themselves in the foot, but they held on for the win. So, how do the scores in our league look today? Pos League Rank Team Manager Pts 1 8 1 Revers Racing Pete B 201 2 3 0 Pitts Specials john stones 172 3 2 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 171 4 13 0 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 155 5 1 0 Iqonic racing iqon 154 6 4 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 152 7 10 1 PSS Power Flyer 150 8 7 0 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 148 9 16 0 teewrex John Tee 141 10 14 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 130 11 5 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 124 12 12 0 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 103 13 9 1 Hans Brake Zoonie 98 14 6 0 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 83 15 11 1 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 80 16 15 0 Torque of the devil Stu 53 Top spot today, with 201 points goes to Pete B. Nearly 30 points behind, on 172 is John S taking 2nd today. And the final place on our podium today - just a point further back - is Tony. Well done to today's top 3! So how does this affect the overall positions? So Iqon retains the top place, though now only 12 points ahead of Tony, with John S still 3rd. Pete's win today moves him up to 8th, with Zoonie dropping to 9th. Just below these two there's another place swap - Ade moves up a place to 10th, or rather to =9th, with Carl slipping to 11th. Japan next weekend. Will we see Red Bull return to their 'normal' form? Set your alarm clocks, it's an early start, with Saturday's qualifying at 7am and the race at 6am.
