Phil May
I can't believe that we are waking up to this sad news. He will be up there with the greatest rock stars of all time. RIP David Bowie

Cuban8
Yes, quite a shock. Mind you, he put a lot of living into his 69 years and after seeing the documentary "thin white duke" that was made years ago, it's a wonder that he got as far as he did. Bowie at his best........RIP. Edited By Cuban8 on 11/01/2016 08:47:

Bob Cotsford
While I liked his music I do think the exclusion of just about all real news on the BBC in order to interview everyone and his dog on the subject of Bowie is a little bit over the top. And don't start me on the subject of how 'brilliant' his last recordings were 'cos they were anything but brilliant.

Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Oh very sad. Personally I wasn't a great fan - but I'd freely acknowledge his massive contribution to popular music as one of the realtively few true "originators". Andy Meade
Musical game changer, and overall understated genius. There's a Bowie track out there for everyone, I think. Plus the 3 films he starred in were pretty good too. A real shame

Shaunie
Truly a sad day but as he was battling cancer he will be at peaceful rest now. I have to say that some of his work I didn't really like but other pieces were great. It cannot be denied that all of his work was incredibly influential to both his peers and those who followed in his footsteps. RIP David. Shaunie.
