I agree. It would be stiffer and have more "flyweel effect" both of which would be beneficial.

What makes you say that an EF extra is "designed for 3d" Ben? Sure they are popular for that, but they are also popular for flying IMAC and F3A style aerobatics. Hell, some people even sports fly them as they fly so well. I have one and don't generally engage in "hanging around"!
It's dangerous to make assumptions!
