David Hazell 1
West to East over our clear skies. Supposedly launching in about 5 minutes at 8:22pm our time... We might be able to see it!

Trevor
It’s just got into orbit. Due to be visible here about 10:10pm, chasing the ISS, about 5min behind
David Hazell 1
Oh I thought we might be able to see it snaking across the sky in its initial launch. I'll get my eyes outside at 10:10 then!! John Wagg
Just watched the launch on PC. Impressive the way they get the first stage to re-enter and land on a ship at sea. I presume to be used again for another launch. Everything gone smooth so far and connects to the ISS sometime Sunday. J D 8
As Dave Bishop would say " went like a rat up a drain pipe. "
Dwain Dibley.
We watched it go by, at about 22.13, not spectacular, but amazing to think there were two guys up there. My Girls were impressed by it all. D.D.
Pete B
Watched a very good pass of the ISS overhead down here in SW France at 2312hrs, shortly after followed by the Dragon scuttling after it. Gonna have to go a bit to catch the ISS by Sunday afternoon..... Pete
J D 8
Seen the transmissions from the Dragon capsule in space and one can see they have quite a bit of room inside unlike the Apollo capsule. Not long after the Apollo 10 capsule went on display in the science museum I went for a look see. As there was no one around I stepped over the rope and put my upper body in through the hatch. Amazed by how little room the three astronauts had to work, live and do the normal things humans have to do for over a week on the way to the moon and back. Frank Skilbeck
Might not be quite as roomy when it has all 7 seats occupied. Next flight will carry 4 astronauts to the ISS.
Kevin Fairgrieve
Quote from me to the Mrs as we sat and watched the launch last night. "That went up like a rocket" Only after I said it did the penny drop. But yep it went up a lot quicker than I was expecting. Look back to the Apollo days and they seemed to hang there just above the launch platform for an eternity.

Cuban8
As I think I've mentioned before, I've been following space flight since a young boy back in the mid 60s, and what we're seeing now with SpaceX is really the stuff that we dreamed of back in the day. What's been achieved by a private company in such a short time is little short of amazing. Elon Musk is an odd character - I'm not at all sure of what to make of him personally, but his individual & unique style does seems to be working. A fortune of 32 billion dollars (Wikipedia) is also handy as well.............wonder if he likes aeromodelling? Another good programme about our rocketry here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yW5X8dhxA_8 Ultimately, a sad tale that's been repeated time and time again when we've passed up our involvement in much cutting edge technology and allowed the unimaginative 'bean counters' to rule the roost................. Notice how many Brits often crop up on documentaries on the Apollo programme - 'the brain drain', and who could blame them. David Hall 9
I tried unsuccessfully to find info/video of the first stage landing... anyone seen a video of the landing?
J D 8
The first stage did land back on it's platform, unfortunately for some reason the platform camera cut out just before touchdown. It came back on line moments later to show the rocket on the platform still venting hot gasses .
