I think in the future that the International competitions will probably be monopolised by the Ukrainians.

Too late! They've been right at the top internationally for several decades. Just a few from the podium at free-flight World and European Championships in the past few years, - Andrjukov (now in the US team), Kulakovsky, Stefanchuk, Alexandrov, Babenko, Stamov, Verbitski, Vivchar. And they seem to have a pool of top-class young flyers as well.

Anybody remember the old Stanley cardboard aircraft, I had the apprentice with an OS40FS about 40 years ago. Was quite a robust model and flew well.

BTW these drones are Australian.

I noticed that they were. I wonder if the flatpacks are on general sale.  It might be an interesting model to fly without all the electronic high technology and just as a simple quick build and robust trainer.

Certainly not precision engineering but boy is it quick and delivered a VERY effective looking plane that flew well- nice one 👏

My thoughts exactly, Ace. I found his video really entertaining, and he has almost 90,000 subscribers, so he is doing something right. Maybe he is just what is needed to bring more people into building rather than just RTF. i.e.  You don't have to be a master craftsman to build something impressive which flies. I will watch his 10-foot wingspan Hercules tonight.
