aidan mcatamney
Great flying electric aircraft.
Geoff S
The original Twinstar was probably the first truly practical ARTF electric model sold for general use. I know I flew mine a lot before it eventually succumbed to my poor piloting 🙂 Multiplex must have sold 1000s of them.
Zflyer
One of our club members still has one, how much is original I have no idea, but it is still one his favourites and flown regularly.
Phil Green
Saw one painted up as an Islander, with a slightly modified tail, as stand-off-scale it was quite convincing! ...and another with model car (reversing) ESCs which did the most amazing high speed flat-spins! The original Twinstar was made from polystyrene and was fairly brittle. Then Multiplex developed the Elapor Foam which was much stronger and all their planes are now made from it. This Twinstar is often flown by my clubmate Steve, originally built by another clubmate Bob and getting a second, or possibly third life, in a convincing BEA livery, looking very much in keeping with those regional airliners of the 60's and 70's.

It's a fantastic plane to fly. I bought my first Twinstar in the year 2000. It had brushed motors and powered with a nimh battery. I still have that plane hanging in my spare room and it's still in great shape for its age. The brushless Twinstar I've had for a good number of years now and it's flown regularly at the field. I absolutely love the Elapor foam that Multiplex use to make their planes. My 23 year old Twinstar has still loads of flying left in its bones but the power and efficiency of brushless motors wins the day hands down.

Steve Colman
I'm a very happy Twinstar owner and flyer too. Mines somewhat plain compared to the examples shown but it flies on a regular basis and flies great and super easy to land.

I wish you many happy landings.
Romeo Whisky
Here are a couple more variants you might like. I've had the original grey EPS one and the white Elapor one - both great models. I took the photos but these models in the photos are not mine however.

The Twinstar made an excellent float plane and just one of those models that you always have a soft spot for.
