Model aircraft and wild birds don't mix ?
john davidson 1 replied to kevin b's topic in All Things Model Flying
An owl used our tables as a vantage point to hunt voles in the long grass in the out field. Had the unsanitary habit of leaving poo and pellets on the tables though. The farmer when whacking the boundary hedge also thought he would do a good turn by also whacking our long grass. No more poo and pellets. -

Young chap from work bought a shed kit on a very wet day so him and his pal thought they would do a trial build inside his bedroom. Found it was impossible to dismantle in the restricted space -

The up and over doors are a problem, eating into the space overhead. My mate Sandy has had remote control roller doors installed and he says it gives much more usable storage space. Not maybe welcome for a new build I realise. -
Middle of lidl today found LED strip lights 1.25 metre long , bought two in anticipation for my up coming workshop build, haven't priced any where else but ai £11.99 each must be a bargain?

I tried a quad esc in my Sunderland thinking it would simplify and be lighter than four separate esc's. Not so in practice, Three wires times two in each wing (twelve total) to motors., instead of two from per wing times two two(four total) to esc's , so ended up actually much heavier than option 1 .

An old sailor walks into a pub, wooden peg leg, hook for one hand and a patch over one eye. Orders a beer while the regulars are eyeing him up. eventually one summons up the courage and asks "How did you get a wooden leg?" "Oh arrr shark bit it off in Indian Ocean, now I wears the peg, oh arr" "What about the hook?" ' "Oh arr, Got into a fight with a shipmate, cut me 'and off, now I wears an 'ook oh arr" "So how did you lose an eye" "Oh arr twas in the Bahamas , blowing a full gale, looked up at the rigging and a seagull pooped in me eye oh arr now I wears a patch oh arr" " Lost your eye because a seagull pooped in it?" "Arr well twas the first day I had the ook , see oh arr"

My point is I have had Outlook for many years, long before the cloud and was certainly not given any notification, just the threat of no further mail because storage is full , no mention of the cloud.

Had this on microsoft outlook a year ago , threatened to stop my e-mail since memory was full and wanted paid to continue service. Not nice because this was my main contacts, Tried deletind old mails which had almost no effect but after some time discovered all my photos were being put on the cloud ( no option given) which is only free to to a limit which can vary with different companies, Micro soft were the smallest, I store all my photas on cards so promptly deleted all on cloud and immediately normal mail again. Just another way to get a monthly sub out of you ,but never explained why , big brother again!

I have a lockable metal bin , on legs to bring it up to a convenient height fitted out with shelves as a charging station and situated outside the shed door . I can charge seven packs at a time which does for a session. Also used for the electric bike battery.

Have you installed a kitchen in your new shed............just joking However I am having a survey on Friday for my new shed/ work cabin /mancave, the financial controller is happy for it to go in first before the new kitchen. The carrot of the new kitchen is working wonders. There seems to be a big variation in price with quality of wood used, some suppliers do not even specify origin. the one I probably will use is pretty critical of other firms and i can sse why. -

Where I live is supplied by a poor terrestrial tv relay giving 13 channels only. I have a Freesat dish supplying three televisions which gives more tv channels than the basic cable packages from Virgin etc, Well within a modeller's ability to install and set up with a digital signal finder , costs for a dish and box with recording capability,. perhaps four months Virgin sub , after that , paid for. If keeping a subscription, freesat is a good bargaining point to use even if you don't actually have freesat installed. Even so ,often I end up threatening to cancel. Once I actually did but got into a tangle between the two companies
