  1. Absolutely correct. Otherwise you could have used 0.3mm ID tubing and had endless problems.
  2. Their not using castor so everything's safe and approved by the merry men of the UK
  3. I have 2 I Chargers 4010 and they are superb ,Also I use a few of the ISDT K4's at the field and along with the Batt Safe they make a damn good combo, very reliable and consistent charging. Their FD200 is damn good discharger.
  4. If you mean cowboy then yes, I can provide plenty of emails, messages that aren't relevant here, but happy to post to anyone including Jacksons fencing whom are now going to remove him as an accredited installer, Never seen so much BS in my life (other than working for my father ... true) He spent a lot of time repeating how good he was but in realty he wasn't.. At 24 i joined the RAF and got told how good I was or how bad. Never did I need to ever tell anyone how good I was, it was the results that mattered and showed,
  5. Not really as I've n have had passengers come into the flight deck after landing (with permission) and asking is the earth flat, Chem trails are also real because I told some one once that i was approached by a government official to add this to my fuel tank/ no questions asked. Bores me to say that if you want to see high performance screaming engines look at kart racing two strokes(Dap, Parilla, TKM or Rotax) 100cc at 22000 rpm speak to any team / manufacture or supplier and they will say use R30/ R40 no questions asked. Modified Castor. yup the engines are checked or rebuilt every race meeting not the poxy engines that they use now limited to 15000rpm and last a season, Engines that were designed for speed and maximum torque and power ,
  6. Ive just cancelled all work with a company due to all the BS, constantly told us how good he was and he was better than others , The problem with him he spent to much time telling us how much he knew and how good he was and he was the only one doing so, very obvious in the end what a load of crap he was talking. Many years ago I worked on many a Merlin engine for Aviation Jersey for the RAF Memorial flight however it dont make me gods gift to engines.
  7. They can run perfectly with the throttle closed if the front bearing leaks or is not air tight even on new engines, My West 36T1 was notorious for it, annoyingly it was a very slow tickover even with a finger over the carb etc it would not stop and would run for 10 minutes at idle
  8. https://www.zoro.co.uk/shop/tools-and-machining/circlip-and-automotive-pliers/49031810/a/brand/Knipex these work well and are of good quality.
  9. Only the manufactures know what the maximum operating speed which isn't the same as VNO and then their is no defined limit. VNO is is occasionally exceeded which is no major threat unless you get into deep mach buffet then you need to be very careful with g loading and watching your critical AOA,
  10. Winglets do not alter the wake separation . again ....ATC do not know if winglets are added or not, Its either light , medium , heavy or super.
  11. It might not be on the MEL , but is definitely on the CDL which will give you the performance, weight and increase in fuel penalties. Doesn't mention though that the aircraft is quite unpleasant to fly with only one winglet.
  12. I have and use 2 of the ISDT FD 200 dischargers and a 5 amp discharge on a 500 mah pack is fine, (Which is a 10C which is probably a lot less than the motor would be using,)
  13. Ive seen this issue before, Its the adhesive/binder used in the tissue, not all tissues are the same, pretty much the same with glass fibre cloth for epoxy or polyester, epoxy will not work with the normal chop strand mat and has a special CSM for epoxy.
  14. You can have both as camber flaps and flaperons are very different. Nought like calling landing at 200 feet over the threshold and a vertical dive and land
  15. Not at all, This reduces lift very efficiently and alters the approach angle of attack, Flaps in reverse.
  16. 40 to 45 degrees up is far better and still have some aileron/roll authority, this way you can basically push the nose down vertically and pull out at the last second with no speed build up and land
  17. I watched the video about 10 times, and thoroughly enjoyed watching 3 guys enjoying their flying,
  18. DSM is still is legal to use a well, however purchasing these other than second hand is not possible as the protocol is not legal for new manufacture. Also check whether they are DSM or DSM 2 as their are plenty of second hand transmitters for DSM2, I still have a second hand 12x which is immaculate as a back up tx, otherwise I still use the 28x
  19. If you pm me ill give you my set up, pretty close to the manufactures set up, A great model to fly, no nasty tendency's etc, Hardest part on the build is working with balsa sheeting and depron.
  20. A higher end esc does not mean more power at all, It gives more precise proportional power outputs noticeable easily on some models once you fly them if you've only used budget then you wont know what I'm talking about, as for the model less movement and 30/40% expo they are a pussy cat to fly. and Yes I do have one.
  21. Not just about the size of the ESC but the quality, massive difference in output between low cost and higher quality which improves the handling dramatically, very noticeable on higher output motors, basically like climbing stairs the more steps/ladder the more controllable the motor is.
  22. Slec 7" bands will work absolutely fine, Theirs no need to reposition the dowels mine and my sons do rolls and loops and the wing never moves out of position on the fuselage, all i ever do is put a 1/16" plywood around the triangle for the dowel to the give the balsa a little more support.
  23. Damn reading these comments is like reading a death warrant , The email from the BMFA and CAA were perfectly clear.
