I use a 2 volt lead acid (cyclone) cell wired in parallel .This works with os f type plugs in a laser v twin . It’s a bit heavy but is ok in a bigger model
I suspect that the difference is well inside the error of the monitor ,so no problem .You will probably find more difference shown between cell voltages on a balanced charged pack
Hi Gordon
you are right on the enthalpy of combustion ,but you get a better ratio of fuel to oxygen for an explosive mixture with alcohols so it’s swings and roundabouts
I got the remains and rebuilt it .Its a 1/4 scale leopard moth G ACUS I’m selling because my knackered back won’t cope with large models anymore which is a shame because it flys well and looks the part
Check out the local tip .I have seen several old school British made presses at mine .I have an old Elliot which is built like a tank .I got mine from an engineering firm which used to deal in second hand stuff .Its so heavily built it doubles as a bearing press with no problem
I can underline Jon’s comments ,from personal experience ,a laser 150 will fly a 1/4 scale tigermoth but not well ,a180 is far better .I had a flair se5 with a 180 and it was fine any less would be marginal
