That looks like a long 'tandem' cockpit opening to me, as I doubt Tony would finish the fairings before topping out the fuselage. So... how about A Harvard? One that doesn't tip stall? I suspect the large opening is in fact a hatch so on balance, I think it might be something like a P-47. But that still doesn't look right, for some reason...
