Erfolg
Those are big sheets, and who delivers them, not the LMS, or builders merchants I would b guessing. As for eye rolling, I find it is shortly followed by a tongue lashing, eventually becoming something akin to Tiinnitus, and I will do anything to relieve the discomfort. Tony Bennett
**LINK** works out at £3.00 a sheet delivered.
Tony Bennett
just to give you an idea of the wing size. if anyone is watching that is.
Steve T
I'm watching, and imagining her indoors face if I left a wing that size in our porch, awesome! I would love to see it, and then tell her it's the tailplane......😡
Tony Bennett
oh i forgot to say. that is the tailplane. size for the next one.
Dave Hopkin
BTW Tony, have your tried B&Q Dial brand carpet spray? Works perfectly in conjunction with UHU POR on the opposite face, I used it on the underside of the wing skins to make sure I covered all the joints - and a damm sight cheaper than POR! Ian101
I think a lot of people are watching this Tony, but very quietly like me! Dave, that sounds interesting. Haven't come across that before but looks worth a try. Marking out all of the contact points is always difficult. Dave Hopkin
If you use it, for the sake of domestic harmony, spray ir over the lawn - as it comes out is a sort of very fine strings, that float about a bit, great for getting an even coating, but a sod when it comes to overspray - I have probably spend about 6 hrs on my knees in the kitchen working on the floor with a stanley blade..... lets say I lost a lot of brownie points with that little stunt
Tony Bennett
oh Dave Ha Ha Ha. what i do is to run por over the ribs and then just press the 3mm skin onto the surface and then remove. that way you can see where to run the fresh glue ready to re stick it when tacky. Tony Bennett
been cutting ribs and more ribs and more ribs. can't put the centre ones in until i have positioned the fuselage and worked out where the edge of the fuselage runs in relation to the wing. Dave Hopkin
Yep that will work to, what I did, was put a slug trail of POR on the ribs, smear it out with a bit of offcut 3mm foam, then spray the skin inside - make a brew, consume no more than 2 Ginger Nuts and then press down

reg shaw
A very pretty aeroplane, and a rather large one at that! What are the spars made up from Tony, any wood? I love the shape of the fin and rudder on this Meteor, much nicer than the squarer version. Ian.

Tony Bennett
Hello Ian. the spars are a balsa depron composite and seem to be quite strong. i have some carbon tubes to fit into the wing yet to add some more strength. yes i like the MK1 shape. lets just hope it all works out ok.
