Tony Bennett
it's only sports scale so i am not too worried about getting the details spot on. there will be rivets on the wings and fuselage. but dome headed not ground down flush ones as you would not see them. i just want the "look" off the full size to be there. Tony Bennett
well the sun was out. The Free Flight Fairey Fulmar has a 32" wingspan for comparison. I am not mad really. Edited By Tony Bennett on 15/02/2015 14:07:
Ian101
Wow, that is massive! I think you need a bigger patio. How much does it weigh now?
Tony Bennett
it's up to 7lb now. i think another 1lb to finish the airframe, then about 5lb to fit it out. Fingers crossed. Tony

Keith Simmons
Looks great Tony. What size props are you thinking & will one be counter rotating to prevent torque?. Also I think you will use the same type of undercarriage as the Gloster Meteor? What's the wheel sizes?
Colin Leighfield
The Trent Meteor had a lengthened undercarriage for prop clearance, although that probably wouldn't have been necessary later when they re-rigged the engines to give less shaft horse power and more jet thrust. At that stage they reduced the prop diameter. I guess that Tony is going for the original though.
Tony Bennett
have not decided on prop size yet or u/c length.
