Tony Bennett
now this is no where near up to the standards of some people on here, but it is only a foamy. so it will do me. i have the rudder pedals and control column still to make and then i can take a look at a pilot. all the holes i cut reduced the nose by 27gms and i have put back 5gms so far with the details. Dave Hopkin
Now if you cut out squares instead of circles you could glue them together and make at least 6 planes from em!
Tony Bennett
dang it, why did i not think of that. all that foam thats gone into packing christmas presents.
Tony Bennett
need some more Depron now before i do any more now, so this will be on hold till after Christmas. so it's back to balsa bashing on some unfinished models.

Dave Hopkin
&"*$^ !!!!!! Shows what you can do with this stuff as I am finding out I wonder how big you can go with the stuff before hitting the 20kg limit!!!!!!
Tony Bennett
thats what i am trying to find out. this one is 1/4 scale. though i do think that i will be pushing the structural limit of depron here. it might get to the point where the underlying structure will have to be made of ply with just a depron skin. Danny Fenton
holey moley Tony, that's going to weigh at least 5lbs when finished. there will be a depron shortage soon Cheers Danny
Tony Bennett
the fuselage weighs 2lb 10oz at the moment. still got the joining tubes, nose retract and wing supports to add. oh and the rest of the sheeting.

Colin Leighfield
Maybe some balsa/depron lamination could work here Tony? It's an amazing project and to me it's got all of the ingredients to be a good and vice-free flyer, you're a far braver man than me to take it on though. David Holland 2
Tony, do not even think of not finishing it. Us mere mortals follow your builds with mouths agape. I have a three year old grandaughter who would just fit in that cockpit nicely if you would like to borrow her for the maiden. I'm sure her mum would not mind!!
