Wingman
That'll be the death nell for Strictly then - it shows the audience is mostly oldies and the the new diversity driven BBC won't want that - one more series if we're lucky. McG 6969
... it seems we're back to WW2 when the BBC sent coded messages to the French Résistance... ... but then the OP says '2020'. Disculpe, pero no entiendo nada... Could this be communicated in a 'normal' way to non-native English citizens as well? .. Cheers & stay Esperanto Chris

cymaz
HRVY? Hardly rheumatic, very young ? Harvey I have a small confession....we only watched the final, never saw the rest of the series. I was celebrating that someone who was not under 30 had won Edited By cymaz on 19/12/2020 21:23:46 Edited By cymaz on 19/12/2020 21:24:
McG 6969
... many thanks for the link, David. ... and apologies for being so ignorant... after all, they were nearly 'flying' as well... Cheers Chris
Dai Fledermaus
As someone who knows a whisk and chasse from a reverse turn, it was was good to see a dancer of a certain age, win it. Gives some hope to all us old gits learning to dance. 😊

Martin Harris - Moderator
It's a wonderful opportunity to gain brownie points from the missus for watching (and engaging in conversation with her about) something other than flying, sport, war films or documentries while actually enjoying the delights of some very well-turned ankles... Geoff S
Never seen it but I do know what it is. I learned to dance (ballroom - waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, tango etc) for one reason only and once I met and married the woman of my dreams I haven't bothered. It was useful though. By sheer coincidence I met my wife at the Nottingham Palaise de Danse on a mid-week so-called grab a granny night (over 25s ). Neither of us had ever been there before and 'our tune' is the quickstep 'Walk in the Black Forest' . So ballroom dancing is OK but not as a spectator sport Fortunately, my wife is of the same opinion. Geoff
Wingman
Ha Ha! Grab a Granny nights (over 25s) usually a thursday if I remember rightly - divorcees and mutton dressed as lamb - standard fare when I was in the merch - brilliant!
