Eric Robson
Folded will be fine for me Ron, it ends up being ironed out. Rolls are meant for machine dispensing.
Ron Gray
Just got the Binding Box’s price back, so it’s 38 micron, ultra matt, 635mm wide at a cost of £0.58 per m (that’s the cost delivered to me, you’ll be charged the same plus postage and packing!). I’ll let you know when I’ve got it.

GrumpyGnome
Just to resurrect this post, today I covered the following elements of my P7 with laminating film: 2 elevators Rudder Flaps Ailerons Wings What a joy to use, very easy! Looks better than using 'traditional' film and overlaps are practically invisible. Love he way it turns from opaque to transparent when you shrink it! I have sanded a few to de-gloss them ready for painting. Also, with some trepidation, I started to cover the fuselage, fin and tailplane (now one piece) in glass and Poly-C. Did the bottom of the fuselage, and underside of the tailplane - surprisingly easy so far! Now waiting for it to dry so I can do some more. Very pleasant experience so far........
Outrunner
Grumpy, please keep us informed on how the painting goes as I have some laminating film (thanks Ron) and can't decide whether to cover the Rival that I'm building with Solar film or laminating film. Laminating film covers great but I'm not keen on painting.
GrumpyGnome
Hi Outrunner On page 3, I posted a very brief update on painting lam film - put rattle can cellulose and hand painted acrylic on a test piece. Went on ok, and seemed OK but I have no idea about long term durability...... When I paint my P47, I'll be sealing it with cellulose varnish. I'll post updates. Others will probably already have some 'real world' experience. GG
Outrunner
Hi Grumpy Thank you for the reminder, I did read your piece on painting laminating film back in March. I'm interested how you get on painting the entire model. Watching with interest...
