Edgeflyer
Does anyone know where a replacement shaft for the EFlite 15 size motor can be bought? It appears to be very slightly bent so that the rotation is impaired.
Simon Chaddock
Phil B This looks like the shaft you want although it is on "special order" so you might have to wait a bit. Google is a wonderful tool. 😉
John Lee
Shafts are fairly generic, I'd suggest that you measure the length of existing one (I believe it's 5mm diameter) & search for similar size one. Chris Walby
Best advice from SC and JL, but if you don't need a circlip groove you could try 4max (normally in stock)
Andy Stephenson
I made a circlip groove in a 3mm shaft by using a cutting disc in a Dremel tool and with the shaft in a drill to rotate it. it's not particularly neat but it did the job. Kim Taylor
I made a replacement for mine using silver steel bought from Modelfixings, cut a few mil over length and used a wheel collet rather than attempt to cut a circlip groove. Engine Doctor
If you have any club mates wigh a mini mill they will be able to cut neat flats on a replacement shaft very easily. Failing that som careful use of a Dremel will do the job.
