martin collins 1
Been waiting for my copy of the BMFA magazine to drop through my letterbox but drew a blank again this morning, i know some got theirs a week before Christmas, anyone else still not received their copy? I know the postal disruption and Christmas have thrown a spanner in the works but wondering now if it has gone astray!
MattyB
I know that some Christmas cards that we sent in November haven’t yet made it, so I suspect this is purely about the postal delays. Another reason that there should be an option for members to receive it in an online version only IMO - not saying it should be mandated, but I personally would far prefer this and would find it easier to consume (and more environmentally friendly). Like you I would prefer to have the mag as an on line read only rather than a wasteful hard copy. I received the December issue some time before Christmas, read what interested me and after an hour or a bit less, it's now in the recycling pile. To be fair, I thought the latest issue did fulfil its remit in conveying some important society news issues but I'm not sure about the other stuff that you'd really only expect in a commercial mag. With the reduction to four issues annually to reduce costs, maybe less will be more. A good move IMHO.
John Lee
If you don't want to wait for it to arrive it is available on line. Just click the blue 'READ RECENT EDITIONS ONLINE' at: https://bmfa.org/bmfa-news
leccyflyer
Haven't had any post, other than parcels, since the first week of December, so still waiting for both BMFA News and my RCM&E. That's due to the postal delays though, as it's widely reported that there's at least three weeks of post backed up at the sorting offices. Denis Watkins
The BMFA magazine that showed up at my place before Christmas Was of much improved quality of paper and printing, a nice surprise.
Robert Cracknell
Recent press reports said that 60% of mail is still undelivered. Oh! Nearly forgot they're striking for more money. Perhaps they would get more respect if performance was better.

It does if you click on the blue 'Read Recent Editions Online' heading just above the pictures of previous issues, though it isn't very apparent that this is the case. Brian.
