Daren Cogdon
Three of them: Thunderbob/Takeshi - a cartoon-scale WW2 fighter designed for streamer combat. Gonna go down the Japanese route for this one. Spitty - a little mini-dogfighter type. Always wanted to build one of these as it looks like great fun to fly. Spitfire - with a KFM2 wing. All Depron/foam builds.
Graham Davies 3
Loving your work Daren, I did a fatty Me109 earlier this year. It never fails to raise a smile at our strip, and flies really well
Daren Cogdon
Ooh, I thought about doing a fat-fighter once or twice, but just never took the plunge!
leccyflyer
Had great fun at the weekend flying my wee Spittie Dogfighter. It was nice on 2s1p 800mah batteries, but going to 3s1p 600mah pack made it even more fun. Guaranteed to raise a smile. Built by my pal Bob and the latest addition to my fleet of Spitfires. Daren Cogdon
I love that! The exhaust pipes are a nice touch.

I might even have a go at designing a FlockingWolfie. Edited September 13, 2023 by Ron Gray

Ron Gray
Ah, you weren’t referring to the Spitty etc (plans in your first post), apologies.
Daren Cogdon
No worries. But yeah, the Spitty is a KFm-4 wing, like the Thunderbob. And boy, does it look like fun!
leccyflyer
I did my first SEMFF fighter with the KDM wing, but, for me, it spoils the roundels and I prefer just a flat plate wing for that reason. They are all great fun. The Flite Test Spitfire flies superbly, Bob has around 80 flights on his Spitfire Cabriolet now and it does everything that any Spitfire has any right to do and then some.
Daren Cogdon
That reminds me, I still have an FT Spit to maiden, and another to build. Oh, and a J-Wings Spitfire, too!
leccyflyer
I've been so impressed with Bob's that I'm going to build one too. You can never have too many Spitfires. 🙂
Daren Cogdon
I might add mine to the build list!

Ron Gray
All the parts cut for the Thunderbob and wing pieces stuck together using Uhu POR with Gorilla Glue Brown for the wing join.

leccyflyer
Wee chubby MessySchmitt Me109 and Spittie Dogfighter this morning at the strip for Battle of Britain Day - superbly manouverable and a joy to fly. Highly recommended. 😎

Daren Cogdon
The Flite Test Spitfire is pretty good. Free plans, and about £10 in materials.... FT Spitfire
Ron Gray
Another couple of sorties out to the workshop and good progress. The plans show the elevator servo mounted mid ship but when I put everything together and tested the C of G it was nose heavy (just like the Hanky Planky foamie) so I’ve mounted it in the back of the fuse.
Daren Cogdon
Looking good so far. I started cutting my plans for Spitty earlier - that's as far as I got, though!
FlyinFlynn
Oooooo..all these foam designs makes me want to resurrect my foam ripper and play with that again....
