How do you hold those Tx sticks?

Recommended Posts

fingers and thumbs with a neck strap better control, also if you happen to ever buddy lead someone, the lost control save all step or rescue move is to close throttle and full up elevator its just fingers back. it never feels comfortable to learn with but pays dividends later in your flying

Thumbs. 'Other' may cover solo hand held launches where I hold the Tx in my right hand and the model in my left. I put my right thumb on the elevator/aileron stick (mode 2) and adjust the throttle with my mouth to about 3/4 and then launch, immediately getting my left thumb onto the other stick. This is so that I can climb the model to a safe height before flying away with both thumbs on the sticks. Then I walk backwards to the pilot box. It sounds far more difficult than it is. I tried finger and thumbs and didn't like it so I'm a thumbs flyer.

Bendum

I use a harness a TX tray and the tx slides into the tray i rest my hand on the side of the tray and use my thumb and fore finger with a hand launch i use the throttle with my right hand and put it back on the ail; elevator stick prior to lanching.

Voted Other - I fly my general manouveres using just thumbs but for messing about with freestlye / 3d flying i use fingers and thumbs. I'm far more comfortable with thumbs only but I feel I get a lot more precision in stick movement when using fingers and thumbs

Other to me was Finger/Thumb right hand and thumb left hand...

Now moved over to a Transmitter tray. Using finger/thumb on both sticks now although the brain and hand are not always quite in sync..
