Myron Beaumont
Hi folks (fans?) out there . I'm lurking in the background after managing to get a MRA scan done on my neck the day before yesterday .i won't start grumbling on about hospital management and lnformation sharing -just that after several phone calls etc I got a result .Yep, I don't have a proper blood supply to my brain right lobe.(bet you realised that already!) Now have to wait a month before seeing the specialist to decide whether I need a new carotid artery or whatever after a spell on aspirin and statins ,I,m unfortunately extremely sensitive to bright lights so flying and building are off the menu at the moment and am ensconced behind curtains with artificial light on .First time I've had a good word to say about low energy bulbs ! Has anyone else had a head MRA scan ? Wow --talk about claustraphobic even though it doesn't bother me AND the banging noises for 20 minutes Well there you are for now .Hope I havn't been too boring & hope to recover being Grumpy soon Thanks again for all your good wishes and concern Myron

Erfolg
My daughter interprets scans Myron. She says, the banging, is the hammer they use to tell if your skull is empty. She got the job after BR stopped tapping axles with hammers and started using ultrasonics. Good to read you have kept your spirts up, just keep on moaning, it is best not to bottle emotions up. flytilbroke
Bug er, I hope I don't need to start making a runway from scratch when we come to say hello later on in the year. Just not good after all the hype we got about the estate. Now that lot was just to help make you feel better as you have not been doing the grumpy bit. Olly P
Hi Myron, I had a head and Jaw MRI the other month - they couldn't figure out what the problem was and pulled my Wisdom tooth - that could be it was the muttering.... Anyway mate, best of luck on the drugs - no surgery is the best way!

Phil Claridge
hi myron, i had the head scan and a lumber puncture after a bad head ache and stiff neck. did;nt mind scan but the lumber puncture was weird and have had back pain ever since. they found nothing wrong any way. lets hope they get you back fit and well again, as i hope to come visiting again some time still trying to sell the old tin tent at the moment best wishes for a speedy recovery regards phil and mandy
Antiquated
Myron, you are right the MRI scan makes a huge amount of noise. I'm not sure why they bother with music and headphones, as I couldn't hear anything over the banging. At least it was better than the CT scan and the weird warm feeling when you get the injection. Hope you recover soon, and can get back to flying and building.
Myron Beaumont
When i was released from the machine ,the nurse naturally asked my if I was OK. "I didn't mind the banging once I got used to it " I said ,"But I wished you'd warned me about the Mozart inbetween !" It might sound odd, being musical ,but it's my pet hate along with rap crap .Oh dear ,I feel grumpiness coming on
