cymaz
Err....is there a way to find out where that info is on the computer please
Concorde Speedbird
I must admit I am really getting on with the new layout, no problems or overlaps, easy to use and I like the colours. Good work! CS
Terry Walters
All looks good to me - page layout is fine - ads are fine - no overlap - no probs. Glad you changed from the red banners etc - a bit too bright for me but then I'm getting on a bit and also I'm not a Ferrari supporter! Pete B
Posted by cymaz on 11/07/2013 15:19:27: Err....is there a way to find out where that info is on the computer please I take it you mean identifying your browser, cymaz? Likelihood is you'll be using a version of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, with several rarer possibilities like Safari etc. My Firefox has the word in a button top left. You should get a clue somewhere in the header - look for 'Properties' - that'll tell you which version you are using. Pete

fly boy3
Not a complaint, an observation perhaps, are the ads on r/h side larger than before, or is it my old pc playing up ? Cheers
WolstonFlyer
I like the darker red, it is much easier to look at.Fb3: The right side column is a bit wider
Martyn K
Is the newsfeed a new feature? - I like that... I also prefer the darker red colour Martyn
Chris Bott - Moderator
The Newsfeed (Freinds Activity Feed) was there before, but I'd forgotten all about it.

Cheers No, you're right they're larger and rectangular now. There are a few more to fix though. Yes, I prefer the new colour and Katy has tweaked the forum text colours too. Martyn K
The advert flash/refresh rate seems slower than it was previously. It does not seem so irritating Martyn
IanN
The toning down of that bright red is welcome makes it easier to have a sneaky peak in the ofifce without drawing attention
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
The ads are wider - but they are only on one side now - before we had ads on one side and "info" stuff plus traders links on the other. BEB
Modonaut
I like the burgandy colour- much better!
Andy48
Thank goodness the bright red has gone. It was rather "in your face". Sadly though, the topics you have read no longer come up in a contrasting colour. Edited By Martin Phillips on 11/07/2013 16:56:
Dylan Reynolds LaserCraft Services
Just noticed that Martin, no highlight colour for read threads
Katy Purvis
No, Sorry Dylan, I was asked to remove that. I find it very useful though, I will try to re-negiotiate tomorrow

Erfolg
How do you add new pictures to your album? Can you still see postings you have previously made?
Robin Kearney
Aha, I came here to ask the same question as Efolg above, where has the 'my postings' gone?
Katy Purvis
Hi Erfolg, You use the same method as before, but the links are at the top (In the burgundy bar) not the side. Albums for photos, and Forums, which will be renamed to My Posts tomorrow for your postings Edited By Katy Purvis on 11/07/2013 17:46:
Bob Black
Oh dear......... if only there was a button to be able go back to use old site style option, much tidier and user friendly. I have been building web sites for twelve years now and have browsed thousands of sites looking at trends etc, but I feel this one has missed something. I notice a lot are complaining about larger ads Sh....Ill tell you how to get rid of them......... Press Ctl on keyboard at same time scrawl mouse wheel back towards you Regards Bob
IanR
Katy, there's nothing to negotiate. A highlight colour for read threads is absolutely essential. Its part of what the forum is about, quickly navigating your way back to a previously read thread to look for answers/further comments etc but whilst still in the main body of posts - not having to go to a separate menu looking for bookmarks or something similar. Removing the highlight colour is a seriously retrograde move and I hope you will tell that to whoever requested its removal. Ian P.S. Now that its broken, fix it!
