Mike Etheridge 1
I cannot find the Lidl helicopter, but last week I got a Quad copter from Maplins for £29 post free.I will give it away as a present. On the box it states there is a 6 axis gyro and 4 channel 2.4 ghz controls. Just reading the information on the box,It suggests it can be throw launched, can do radical flips and rolls, has an automatic trim function, precise locating and adjustable speed. Also there are two control modes, lcd function (?) and can be flown indoors or outdoors. Sounds fun,why am I giving it away? Mike Etheridge 1
I have just noticed Maplins list the price at £44 plus. This could be an old advertisement, but there is another available at the lower price?

Postage is extra from Leeds Model Shop. I agree that my post could have been clearer. Nothing to do with Lidl, but a good deal if you can't get the Lidl one. Vernon Bright
Try Wilkinsons for 1 Pack of 6 CLEAR Plastic Containers for £ 1 . IMHO they are better made , stronger and last better than Poundland - Type rubbish . My Wife is Nigerian and is always storing cooking pot food in Fridge . She has tried most and states that These Containers from Wilkinson are exceptional . I use them for storage of Motor parts etc whereby You NEED a SEALED top --- Edited By Pete B - Moderator on 26/01/2015 22:22:
Vernon Bright
Get the MDF emulsion sealer from Poundland when its about . It seals Hardboard and also Balsa and provides good key for Solar Film Type Covering . Also get the Aluminium Paint for £ 1 in Poundland . This is a filler and fuelproofer all in One . I always use it in Tank Bays and in and around the nose ( Plane ) . Used to get the sqeeze epoxy in two separate tubes but Poundland et al seem to be phasing these out in favour of the two cylinder squirt mixing type .. But If you have been buying the squeeze type over the last 5 years you will see that Poundland have changed suppliers as the content is much different -- being more liquified with a more reddish colour
Vernon Bright
I use an A4 REFILL PAD OF plain paper to write anything down to do with Modelling again ex Poundland . Find it great BUT - ------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - THERE USED to be 300 Pages . When I was in SE8 ( Deptford) Poundland on last Sat I noticed that these Refill Pads are now boasting ONLY 200 Pages . So as Mark Twain may well have have suggested buy this bargain up before it becomes extinct if nothing else but its visIbly lessening content !!!! Vernon Bright
Where you have space in fuzz and the control wire to servo is too short use SMALL chocolate box connectors to utilise short bits of wire we have knocking about . I never go beyond joining together 2 Pieces though
