jonryan
Rubbish. A decent pilot would have found a thermal. I'm getting in touch with HK to see if they've got any of these jet packs. I'm fed up with traffic jams

Don Fry
I thought, when young, that I could do risk. But I bow, scrape, and applaud those lads, or ladies. I assume under thirty. May you live long enough to breed. The bit, towards the end when they swooped down a tree lined bit, had my nether regions twitching. Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
Stunned! Bravery I always admire! Courage I esteem,....But frankly I think you'd either have to be mad, or have a starlingly low level of imagination, to do that! BEB
Bob Cotsford
Hi BEB, how are you feeling now? When I was young I was indestructible and on many occasions incredibly lucky. Would I have tried that lark? Possibly. I got away with misjudgements on motorcycles by the skin of my teeth, but that looks a particularly unforgiving pastime. Geoff S
Not so much brave or courageous, though undoubtedly incredible, but more like foolhardy. There's pretty high attrition rate amongst wingsuit aficionados and I can't help wondering exactly what drives people to do such foolish things. I can understand the daredevil attitude amongst the early aircraft designers/pilots but they were trying to achieve something useful and the Wright brothers adopted a very logical and studied approach which minimised and calculated the risk. These guys are just throwing caution to the winds and often pay the penalty. Still you've got to admire them for risking just their own lives.
