Ady Hayward
Yay 46 from 49. Some were process of elimination though. As others have said some were a bit questionable but nonetheless a fun quiz. Need one on modern planes, ww1 and civvies.

cymaz
34 from 49...most where guesses. No hints used and just looked at the insignia first before having a wild stab in the dark..
Pete B
Just 40/49 - I wonder if the other mods will offer themselves up?.... Pete
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
44 But I must admit some were by process of elimination - ie it isn't the others so it must be that! - and a couple were lucky guesses! Still, not too bad. BEB
Bob Bertram
Impressed myself with 48. I got the 1st one wrong. It is interesting that certain traits/styles go through a manufacturers types, ie the fin/rudder shape with DH.
J D 8
43 for me,some were interwar not WW2.

Harry Twist
43 not including the peashooter error ( so 44!) Tried to say the name to myself before reading the four options...but did resort to a little selection by elimination on a couple of the more obscure single engined aircraft! Thanks for sharing Edited By Harry Twist on 09/02/2017 21:01:
Trevor Rushton
43 but it was nearly 44 - is woz robbed by a careless contact with the touchpad
Tony Harrison 2
39 for me, in a hasty dash not taking quite as much care as I should - though I really couldn't have scored more than one or two more. Lots of weird types there I'd never even heard of! One or two bad pics made ID-ing tricky. National markings were sometimes a giveaway. Interesting bit of fun. I tried the similar "gun recognition" quiz on that site and did much better, only 3 wrong.
Pete H
A bottom of the class 26. Confirming I know nothing about warbirds...
Kelly
Yep done it, if not multichoice reminding me of the names of the obscure ones l would have failed. Its an age thing.
zz
48 for me. No hints used. Missed by thaat much. With apologies to Agent 86. Someone wrote they did not believe the P26 had flown in war .Not post Pearl Harbour. Looking at my reference, 'Flying against the Rising Sun', it reads 10 were used by the Chinese Nationalists defending Nanking from Japan from mid 1937. Most were destroyed in short order. Kevin 216
Managed 42 didn't use hints - but mainly by a process of elimination of the alternative answers - without alternative answers doubt if I would have managed to get 10 correct. Colin Leighfield
I got them all. Wouldn't have got the P64 though if it hadn't come up recently somewhere else.
David Pearce 4
45 for me. No hints but several only by elimination. Some so rare the images are from flight sims.
David P Williams
41 with no hints - but then I don't own an anorack

Colin Leighfield
Having a choice from four made it a lot easier. I could recognise most of them directly or at least by knowing that it wasn't one of the others. The Ambrosini lightweight fighter was instantly recognisable but I wouldn't have remembered what it was called without having a list to choose from. The Mitsubishi A5M looking like a slimmed down P26 and having US style stripes on the rudder made me blink, but it certainly wasn't one of the other three. My memory isn't improving with age and I'm better with older stuff than some of the more recent types, particularly the civil ones. Perhaps it is because they don't interest me so much, another reflection of the years in which I grew up probably.
Vince Keld 1
41 for me mostly by not selecting the obvious wrong ones
