Colin Leighfield
I am running out of time again because I have to do a “whistle stop” trip to Australia for family reasons, going tomorrow and won’t get back until 05 March. I might get a bit done tonight but this is where I am now. Annoying because I have got my head around it now and becoming more confident. Colin Leighfield
Although I got back from Oz more than a week ago other things have prevented me getting on with the Fury. However I got going again this afternoon and finished the spar webbing on the upper left wing panel. Cap strips next then the wing tip detail before sorting out the aileron and hinges. I will complete this before starting on the right side. Should be able to do some more tomorrow.

Graham Donaldson
I've used meths, paraffin etc in the past but this week I tried Bryant;'s method. I taped the plan against a window and traced the outlines in pencil. It worked well, but did take a bit of time. My port wing basic structure cis now omplete as well as the fuselage.Starboard side to start. Have been wire bending for u/c and cabane and making the various brass fitting using plate and tube with soft or silver solder. I had a problem with the solder solder as I was probably using too much heat and the brass tube deformed and the wire would not pass through. All sorted now. Colin Leighfield
Back home early hours this morning, in the shed tonight working on starboard upper wing. Leading edge detail and sheeting, wingtip details and begun spar webbing. Ho-hum! Keep on plodding. Martian
Nice work Colin , just noticed there appear to be no holes for servo wires
Colin Leighfield
Quite right Martian! I have a pair of HS125 servos ready, when I get to that stage I will find a suitable way to bodge the holes. If I plan too far ahead I tend to get it wrong anyway. Colin Leighfield
A busy working today so didn’t get into the shed until after 09.00 pm. Finished off the spar webbing, cap strips tomorrow evening and whatever else I can do.
Colin Leighfield
I have decided to cover mine with nylon. Last time I used it was in the sixties, it was excellent so I am going to try it again. I have got sufficient Solartex but as Danny mentioned, I see really good scale models spoiled when it wrinkles, so I will use it for something else.
