Sam Longley
I have not searched the forum far for comments on drones. I suspect that like our own flying field the subject may be taboo However, I am a yachtsman as well as a RC model plane hobbyist & this is a Radio Control & Model Engineering forum , is it not? So my question is really a shot in the dark. Has anyone tried building an underwater drone -ROV- yet? It might be fun building one. However, I may be on the wrong forum. but comments are welcome
Phil Green
Through the radio projects I've been in contact with these people, very knowledgeable on underwater stuff; https://www.theassociationofmodelsubmariners.com/ They're a friendly bunch, give them a shout Cheers Phil

Although recent issues have had more engineering articles than electronics. Engineering should be in Model Engineer, submarines would be in Model Boats. leccyflyer
I enjoy the engineering articles in RCM&E, they are nice examples of where our hobby can be enhanced by application of model engineering techniques. They have also always been a part of RCM& E for decades - Brian Winch and Alex Whittaker covered a lot of aeromodelling-relevant model engineering, Danny Fenton has some excellent model engineering content in his scale building column and it's great to read my pal Tim Hooper's recent forays into machining , milling and other aeroplane related projects.
Paul De Tourtoulon
I would think that transmitting the image would be the biggest problem, I built a few rc ones and they would only work on 41.000/35.000 and 27.000mhz frequencies. Maybe the older 1.300 (mhz ?) transmitting systems for the images. Edited January 19 by Paul De Tourtoulon mhz
