Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
When I was a kid I used to read David's books and dream of what I would be flying when I had enough money to buy an RC system! I still have all those books and old mags and I will always remember lying in bed (well, well after my bedtime!) and furtively reading all about making wings or fuselages etc. until caught by my parents and made to put the light out! Ultimately he was the inspiration that brought me, and so many others, into this hobby. Long may his memory live amongst us all - so many of us owe him so much. RIP David and thanks for all you gave us. BEB

Gerard
A very sad loss to our hobby. His was the first detailed book I read on RC planes and it was an invaluable basis of the knowledge I've gained to date. He will be badly missed.
Myron Beaumont
Had it not been for Boddo's early designs & books & magazine articles ,I doubt I'd still be modelling after all these years .Unfortunately I never had the privilage of meeting up. Kenny Beggs
There is no bigger name in the hobby. I did not have the pleasure but I've built and flown his designs and would always look forward to reading his articles. He enriched many lives. Rest In Peace. Peter 'Ivanna Crashalot' Savage
The first nitro plane I flew was my granddad's club's toffee bombing barnstormer! It was a beast! although when they were ready for me to fly it, it was pretty high up!
