Changing pages in a thread just leads to a blank screen, This happened a while ago so if it was fixed then why is happening now. This looks like part of a bigger problem with the forum software,

Can you identify this model please?

I had a Laser 150 in mine which was perfect, I thought the K&B 65 shown on the plan would have been a bit weak. -

Quick reminder time... Please remember that although this weekend's race is in the USA, and consequently later in the day than 'normal', it is also a SPRINT WEEKEND. This means that the FantasyGP game is LOCKED early, at 9:30pm UK-time on FRIDAY when the Sprint qualifying starts. Get your predictions done before then! -

Thanks for looking! -
The airframe was sold to me as an Ultimate 120, but it seems a bit small and light for for a 120 2-stroke. This Carl Goldberg Ultimate was seemingly designed around the K&B 65 2-stroke. Reading on OuterZone comments, some fitted a 90 2-stroke and 120 4-stroke, but advised to brace the tail feathers. I think my Saito 125a is too big for this airframe. By some freaky coincidence a modelling friend informed me today he has a brand new in the box un-run K&B 65 for £50. Apparently from a deceased modellers estate. It's tempting to go for it and make the aircraft a bit of a vintage project. I'm undecided.

Sorry Martin, nothing like it in the magazine, I've also looked in a RCME magazine for August 77 it's not in there either. They are the only 2 I have now. Pity as it could probably been converted to electric with no needle valve to worry about. -

Thanks Alan , the pleasure is all mine ! I'done with sanding for a while now !! Started to cut out the window openings with a diamant disc and sanding rolls on the dremel tool , there's not much left to paint anymore ! Visiting PROWING in Germany gave me courage again !! -
Yes… its too thin to support mounting captive nuts… ply is probably 1/8” thick , if that. im assuming its a location aid and ids different engines and hole positions.

How much weight does the sound system add Richard? Any chance of a video flypast with sound system on 😁

a few more test flights on the foam board Mossie today . Its been laid up since last year when the Fw190 /Tempest project started . Still some cosmetic work to do . The underside of the nacelles are functional rather then pretty , so need sorting . But flying goes really well . AUW is less than 6lb with sound system . At 64" that makes the wing loading 24oz/ft . Putting that in perspective , if you scaled up a typical 6lb 55" fighter to 64" but kept the same weight , imagine how easy to fly and land it would be ? That's how it feels . It flies on a 4s 3300mah battery for 5mins of spirited performance . Could stretch to 6.5 mins at scale speeds.

Just home from the aerodrome. -
Are those Hemmingway castings? Mine look nothing like as 'matched' as those in the running engine.

Very Nice Andy . The Mediterranean colours show of its clean lines . I thought that about the captured 109 "black 6" when I first saw it . That colour is really easy to see in all weathers too . great job 😁

Understood. I'll do some experiments with a 3s and see if that is any better!

It would be interesting to see if there was any increase in performance over petrol/ignition vs methanol/ignition vs straight glow,l will using a altered head shape for increased compression ratio along with a ringed aluminium piston as used in the Mk2 Atom Minor

Eric - I don't suppose there's a small advert (probably in the small ads pages) for a pusher engined jet style model in that magazine - one which I'm sure I had at the time as the 88 is really familiar? I've racked my brains and looked at some magazines from that period for details of it - I'm sure the kit was advertised in one of the magazines fairly regularly - as I'd love to identify it...but cannot find any details. I still have the scars (on both hands) from getting too close to the pusher prop while adjusting the needle valve! -
Fun fly typical design

I’ve certainly seen a similar rudder/elevator model performing fairly axial rolls so it’s not an impossible scenario. -
Here's my Atom Minor running on glow, at a time when I didn't have an ignition circuit. I'll run it on sparks as soon as we get some decent weather (reasonable light for photos/video).

You say there is an extra firewall piece, could this be an adapter plate? Do you have a photo of the additional firewall.
