  1. Correct its nothing to do with orange, it just happens to have an orange plastic cover. Although they have twin aerials I don't believe they are dual diversity. I have 4 and all work faultlessly in club sized IC aircraft, and never any range issues. They even accept a satellite receiver. Have tried both Spek & Lemon and both seem to work!!!!!! Caveat - Mine are all 3-4yrs old.
  2. Initially I bought a scroll saw but once I bought my bandsaw I have never turned it back on once. (Expensive soldering station Paul). As the table tilts I also successfully cuts strip, triangle and trailing edge. For servo trays or other central cuts I inverted a Jigsaw so just pop one hole and work around, no need to keep removing scroll saw blades.
  3. A few at Leeds Model Shop http://www.modelshopleeds.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=37_844
  4. A real shame but our club reflected the drop in interest - 22, 12 models - 23, 8 models, which mirrors the 1/3rd drop from 22. The drop in participating clubs is more surprising (182+16) 198 down from 263 in 23 which again I thought was low from the potential.
  5. Banger (firework) down a hand held piece of steel conduit followed by a marble. Remember Sodium Chlorate (weed killer) - Pipe bombs and rockets. Arr those were the days
  6. Errm "Scale Model" 🤔 That's and old EPP foam Prangster.
  7. Very best of luck sticking to that 😁
  8. I believe it was done after he saw this You Tube video which was later posted on here by @ jon wagg earlier this year.
  9. Have see a Pup where the Fuz splits just behind the wings making assembly simpler and transport/storage far more practical by being able to leave the wing section as one unit.
  10. Coming Saturday with the wife so not flying but will say hi, then off round the collection.
  11. Ooooo looking very, very nice, although forward visibility looks challenging 😁
  12. You could level the same comment at all senior military officers far from the sharp end. My old CO Lieutenant-Colonel Herbert "H" Jones (Falklands) and Lt-Col Thorneloe (Afghanistan) are the highest ranking officers to have died in combat since the WW11
  13. As others, my 3 ch 40" Sunday Flyer, OS 30 4* turning a 10 x 6 with a slec blue 4oz and will do 15min to empty on mixed throttle, 10-12min comfortably.
  14. Posted 3 hours ago A long shot - have you change the glow plug for a long reach 4s* ? Edit time passed 😥 Long shot - Have you recently accidently replaced the std glow with a long reach 4* plug - that would increase compression and advance the timing.

  16. Never had that actual size motor but a similar Surpass rated at 65amp the same as yours. I ran with a 70amp ESC giving some headroom and with my chosen prop the watt meter read 57amp. So allowing for a little headroom I would suggest the 60amp ESC could be a little light unless you are going to prop it right down for a lower draw but then there will be a balance between weight and power required. 17. Surly its reasonable to have definitions recognizing the time, effort, and skills required to achieve an aircraft from the various methods. Some being waaaaaaaaaaay more difficult than others of producing the same end result so deserve to be differentiated. I would never post a derogatory comment or contradict someone saying they "built an ARTF" but for me assembled more accurately represents the task. We are talking basic ARTF's here. You will always get varying degrees (ESM and F3A aircraft as examples of complex ARTF's) within each grouping. After all because I can draw on an Etch-o-sketch (showing my age) doesn't put me in the same group as an Architect.
  18. @Greyhead46 Followed from the beginning and just in awe of the detail achieved from usually simple everyday bits creatively combined - thanks 👏
  19. For me: c) Starting from scratch ie. blank sheet of paper to a finished object. (Watered down meaning probably emanated from the US) b) Built from a Plan - Slightly easier and can be difficult and time consuming so needs recognizing for just that. a) Built from a kit - Still challenging but slightly easier again but recognized as an achievement. Laser cut parts particularly short kits fit somewhere between b & a. ARTF for me will always be assembled. After all you a piece of flat pack furniture is usually labeled "self assembly"

    3pm mobile alarm

Not sure but believe those using the 2G or 3G network were never meant to receive it. And yep silence for me also as I am using 3G.
  22. Is this what you are looking for? Sorry will not insert correctly 😥
  23. In my preferred Darker mode the print appears slightly darker where as default looks more grey ish and less distinct, plus fills more of the screen rather than a narrow band down the middle of the page.
  24. Sorry about the hi-jack - will that decoder work with any manufacture receiver with a S-bus out put?
