Peter Miller
I love these optomists I wonder if he really is that ignorant or is hoping some sucker is. I think a 1/10th of the rpice might be about right
malcolm woodcock 1
I saw a guitar for sale on ebay, collection only, Leeds railway station, cash on the nose. Needless to say it didn't sell but it's nice to see that there are such optomists out there.
Peter Miller
There is one thing that really annoys me. Petty perhaps but I won't buy an engine that has the fault. And the fault is that the cylinder head fins are pointing in any direction except fore and aft. It shows that the engine has been stripped by an idiot. Here is another one
Ben B
It is rather worrying isn't it! As a kid I used to regularly take apart engines to have a look at the internals and even though in those days I didn't do everything exactly how I would now (e.g. screwdriver in the exhaust port to pop out the cylinder) I knew enough to put the cylinder heads on straight! Alan Cantwell
i would say it was more a griffin type, but just a thought, once upon a time, it could indeed have been an aeroplane, aircraft ally is prized in drink cans for its purity
Pete B
Soda can art is big business in the less-developed parts of the world - although I would think the makers' cut is a fraction of the prices shown on the website........ Pete

Martin Harris - Moderator
Perhaps it's a modification for improving cooling in knife-edge flight?
Peter Miller
One day someone is going to do it on a cross flow engine and spin it with a starter.
Peter Miller
On that Irvine. I asked what had happened because it had been dismantled. The seller hadn't got a clue what I was talking about. He had not realised that the head was cockeyed.
Peter Miller
Now here is something interesting. Look at the model. Note that it is a three channel trainer. Note also that the wing has no ailerons and no dihedral and looks a bit like a fun fly wing. The servos do not look as if they are screwed in properly. Now, who can find some mare faults? Somehow I have a feeling that anyone buying that as a trainer will wish they had not. Edited By Peter Miller on 10/07/2012 18:59:
malcolm woodcock 1
At least the engine head was on the right way around.

Andy Green
Theres a well known plans seller on ebay, I have used him before, I've just asked why he is now charging $4 P&P when he states in the ad that all plans will be emailed, so no P&P. All I got for my trouble was being called a moron and wishing me a heaet attack. When I replied that is was a genuine question and I had in fact had a heart attack last Christmas, the reply was sorry I recovered. People...
