Chris Bott - Moderator
Yes Steve as Allan says it's family friendly. The more the merrier especially if it might get the odd one in to the hobby. For safety we fence and rope off the whole flying area and are pretty strict about where people fly. This isn't onerous for pilots as long as they can stay one side of the straight line they are standing on. For smaller kids there's a park type play area too. Slopetrashuk
Do pilots need to register? If so, when and where? Andy
Chris Bott - Moderator
Hi Andy No, pilot registration isn't required until you arive, if campers would let us know they are coming it helps us work out space requirements, but many don't. More details are here and there's a link at the bottom of that page to our location maps. Anything else you need to know, just ask. Cheers Chris

Now I just have to try and get on with the Matador build as its not been touched for about a month due to work and wedding planning!! Chris Bott - Moderator
That's a real shame Olly, we'll do our best to have a good time without you. You'll have to start building something for next year

Chris Bott - Moderator
Hi Gary The only compulsary charge at Greenacres is £5 per day to fly. Spectators are free, we do appreciate it if campers give us a donation for camping as it does cost quite a lot to put the event on. But it is voluntary. Traders are asked for a donation to the raffle prizes, so that can be either large or small depending on what they think they can manage. That is if any traders turn up.. Hope to see you there Cheers Chris PS - thanks Ken, yep there's more info on our website.
Andy Muckley
Hi Garry as Chris said just give a donation of what your comfey with as its up to you and then £5 per day to fly, you'll have a great time guaranteed, the only thing we cant guarantee is the weather

Martyn K
Is there any problems with Access? I may bring the motorhome along - 7.5m long 3.2m high, 2.1m wide.. Alternatively, my XYL will prolly say get the tent out.. Martyn
FunnyFlyer
I'm an ace pilot - but no A Certificate. Am I barred?
Chris Bott - Moderator
Martyn we have had motor homes on before but I wouldn't like to guess how wide the gate is. It looks pretty wide... I'd think you'll be alright. FF We have a rule imposed on us by the local council that to fly at one of our events all pilots must showproof of at least an A cert and valid insurance. So without one you'll be most welcome, but will be unable to fly. Edited By Chris Bott - Moderator on 01/06/2012 16:33:
Martyn K
Thanks Chris, The bus is no wider than a Transit Van so it should be OK. I presume an endorsed BMFA membership card is suitable proof for Insurance and accreditation? Regards Martyn

REG LEWIS
Hi Funnyflyer, Unfortunately you will be unable to fly at Greenacres, due to the area that the fun fly is held on. It's on Walsall Council property and our agreement is any person flying, must have at least BMFA A or equlivant. Reg Lewis Chairman GMAC. Terence Lynock
Will there be trade stands and the usual jumbles?...need to stock up on balsa and a few other bits,
Biggles' Elder Brother - Moderator
There might be some very limited trade Terry, its not really a show - its a fly in, so it doesn't attract a lot of the trade, but I have heard that a couple will be present. Are you going? It would be great to meet up! BEB
Terence Lynock
As SWMBO is the driver these days it is down to my persuasive powers really, would love to come over and meet up with a few folks, if you see somebody looking like Clive Custler with white beard and Ozzy bush hat then run the other way.........
