Bob Cotsford
With the 120 Surpass it needed lead in the nose because of it it being fabric covered and painted. The LG had been modded from standard to a braced wire setup mounted under the nose that put the wheels too far forward, plus the screws holding the clamps are pulling out of the 1/4" ply bottom strips that have been fitted. I just happen to have a fibreglass unit that will fit with a little reworking of the underside. And some spats will go on just because I can Edited By Bob Cotsford on 22/06/2016 13:46:

Bob Cotsford
Carbon Copy f/g Trebor. the one in the photo above was what it came with second-hand, a one-off that looks to have been made for a large petrol installation. I must get an up to date photo once I've fiddled with the U/C.

Peter Miller
Posted by Percy Verance on 26/06/2016 12:21:57: Really Steve?? Looks closer to one of the later marks of Spitfire to me. A trick of the light perhaps? Looks someyhing ike my Symphony from years ago with the elliptical wings.
Steve Hargreaves - Moderator
Sorry guys...yes Symphony was the model I had in mind.... Not unlike the Seagull Twister either....
Jon Laughton
Well I have to confess that I made and flew a 133% Peter Miller Harmony and own/fly a Seagull Silence Twister - I guess I am a sucker for the Spitfire wing planform! And why not!😄
Peter Miller
One of our members bought a Seagul Twister but is frightened of flying it on our grass field in case The U/C will not survive. Your comments appreciated.

Erfolg
Erm, should that not be Heinkel 70, or perhaps the Sausewind. The irony is that in washing out the wing the theoretical advantage of the elliptical wing planform is somewhat lost. Non the the less they have a certain presence. I thought that the model had a look nearer a Estralita type pylon racer.

Bob Cotsford
Finally I got round to flying the Ballerina yesterday: First flight it was nose heavy, so for the second flight I moved the on-board glow battery to the rear of the servo bay. Much better, though it could loose another oz or two from the nose. Edited By Bob Cotsford on 27/06/2016 10:56:
Peter Miller
GReat stuff Bob. Nose heavy is always better than tail heavy.
Peter Miller
Now ready for maiden flights, My RWD5.1/6th scale, nearly 700 sq inches, weight 5 1/4 lbs. Wing loading 17 1/2 oz. per sq.in. Power OS FS40 Surpass. I wanted a scale model that was like a Super 60 to build. The cowl is a bit more complex though.

Peter Miller
They will be in RCMW eventually. It is a bit too similar to my Peyret Mauboussin to have it here
