Terry, what happened to the original?

After many launches and some nearly OOS flights I was just flying around having a nice time under power when the right aileron hinge (i.e. the foam) parted company). Result a spiral dive into the ground. Lesson - check the actual hinge line on a foam model. Felt lost without it and sourced one NIB locally from another ex-pat for €40!

Took the foamy WOt 4 (and the Rover P6) to the club's flying field this afternoon, first flight since Christmas.

First landing wasn't too clever but I got better. There were two guys there with a Messerschmitt and a Spitfire. While looking for his target the Messerschmitt pilot lost site of his own model and it went in to a field set to spuds. It was easy to find the wreckage amongst the high ridges.

There were also three Junior 60s there. The most I've ever seen at the club.

2hrs at the field this lunch time I thought one of the lads was turning up to help with photos of the Barnstormer but no one else showed so two flights of the E-Pioneer later I called it a day, just not the same flying on my own any more though happy to say despite the wind gusting from 10 to 15mph my landings are getting better

I thought I'd put my hat and gloves away until next autumn, but apparently not...

A rather chilly, breezy afternoon, though at least the sun came out from behind the clouds from time to time making it feel a little warmer. Not a bad turnout considering the conditions, though we did pack in a bit earlier than we might have done had the weather been better. I suppose, on reflection, typical Bank Holiday weather!

It's been great here all week with generally light winds and temps in the low to mid 20's.

My Acromaster, Leader 480 and Angel S30e (maidened this week). Javis' Kyosho Kelly. I wonder what they're thinking?

Doh! My car's broken down!! crying

And I haven't yet worked out how to transport a 1.5mtr foamy on the back of my mountain bike. Plus, the local parks in Exeter aren't exactly big enough. But I'm working on it/them. Yes, I'm trying to deduce the issue with the car, and wanting to go cycling with a foamy at the same time. Heh, I think I'll give the car about 60 mins, and devote the rest of the holiday weekend to other things. ✈ ✈ ✈ ✈ ✈ ✈ ✈

my girlfriend!!!! sad

Buy a nice looking powered foamy glider like the AXN Floater Jet, It really is a bit girly looking. Approx £42 ARTF and shipped, plus your radio gear and battery. Then tell her that you want to put your arms around her in the park on a sunny day and teach her to fly her very own cute glider.

Also say that you'll still put your arms around her even after she can fly solo. angel I reckon you won't get a broken heart wink 2

Mmmmm! Love it's slick style! Heh, I fitted something similar to the Lumentition to my Mk1 Escort 35 yrs ago. Ah, do those bonnet bumps indicate a V8 3.5 litre under there?? Or is it a TC? Did the later cars have them regardless?

Oops! off topic!

Errm, well she looks like she's a real 'glider' of a car David. wink 2 Ahem.
