Chris Bott - Moderator
Here we go. I think a lot of us have been waiting to see what the next steps in commercial drones will be. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-62177614.amp

Quote from the article "The technology utilises ground-based sensors installed along the highway which provide a real-time view of where drones are in the airspace. This data is then analysed by a traffic management system - a sort of air traffic control for drones - which guides them along their routes and avoids collisions." Don Fry
Anyway, I think I will wait until the startup money runs out. Might, or might not work. Who am I to know. I can see how getting drugs to remote locations is a possibility, particularly in bad weather. Not much consequence to failure over remote places, or the sea. Mind, as a first class cynic, I hope the Mexican, Colombian, drug cartels don’t think that nicking a load of post office drones is a goer, with providing a medium calibre machine gun to provide covering fire for the escape with the kit. Breaking bad with a Spektrum tranni.

Breaking bad with a Spektrum tranni. Reminds me of an old video on YouTube, search ‘Prototype Quadrotor with Machine Gun!’. I won’t embed it here as there is some mild profanity. Andy Stephenson
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SYz_D89BLUg There was also one that had a semi-auto shotgun mounted on a conventional model heli, only in America! That one looks real. However I've always suspected that the ‘Prototype Quadrotor with Machine Gun!’ one is some kind of set up or fake. I seem to remember that there was something equally lethal by a Russian. Edited July 19, 2022 by PatMc
Martin Harris - Moderator
Tail rotor failure while firing in auto might get interesting!
