David Ashby
It seems appropriate to start a new thread in the Photography board so we can all show off the pics taken using our photography drones. Phantom, Mavics, Minis etc.
David Ashby
I put the DJI Mini up at the club patch yesterday and, while I appreciate there's a drought, the colours were quite startling. What was a green field now looks like the Australian outback. 3
Andy Symons - BMFA
Great idea this thread. December last year I set up the Yorkshire Drone Flyers group where we arrange meetups to get together for some aerial photography sessions and to exchange ieas, offer advice, oh and eat cake and drink good coffee too. 😉 One of our regular meeting places is the Ribblehead Viaduct asthere are regular steam train crossings. Here are a few from my last visit there.
Andy Symons - BMFA
Another regular spot is Castle Hill in Huddersfield, mainly because it's very near me and there is an excellent cake and coffee stop near too. 😉
Andy Symons - BMFA
Last few for now. We regularly meet at the old Barnsley Main Pit Head, there is a Heritage Group that look after the site who do great work and they very kindly open up the car park for us for meets. They even provide refreshments too, last time it was bacon butties and hot drinks.
David Ashby
Our club field again, greener times. Fascinating how even bare trees shield the frost.
Don Fry
Nice pictures. Do I detect that Andy prefers to fly near food outlets?

Frank Skilbeck
On the topic of the dry weather, here's a couple of shots towards the Malverns from our field, one from back in Feb and a recent one, no prizes for guessing which is which. And the other drone search and rescue use. Edited August 18, 2022 by Frank Skilbeck

Andy Symons - BMFA
On Sunday the Yorkshire Drone Flyers Club had our first 'Walking with Drones' meet up. A few of us met at Thruscross Reservoir, North Yorkshire for an 8km walk around the reservoir with a few stops for some droning. A very enjoyable few hours out in the fresh air. David Ashby
Nice, is the fisheye shot using your drone’s standard lens Andy?

David I suspect it's not a fisheye lens, but one of the auto photo features on the DJI, it takes lots of pictures as the rotates around and angles the camera and then the app on the phone stiches them together, quite clever. It's the 360 degree panorama shot built in to the DJI software then processed using the Theta+ app.
