Returning to the hobby after 15 years

I just thought I'd say HI as suggested upon joining the forum.  I'm returning to the hobby after a 15 year layoff.  Getting my eye back in with a simple electric (much more popular now than when I was flying before) foam trainer.  I'm also starting a Sarik hobbies FW190 60" build for the winter project.  Amazed at how cheap balsa planes for IC engines are on Ebay second hand nowadays compared to 15 years ago.  No one seems to want them!   I love the building part of the hobby as much as the flying if I'm honest.

Hi Declan.

Welcome back! What did you fly before your 'break'?

Quite a mixture really.  Usual trainers and then more advanced models.  I did have an ARTF FW190 about 60" wingspan, I cannot remember the brand, it was a nice flyer with a big red nose.  I did have a 3D flyer but agian the name escapes me.  It was quite popular at the time.  They were all glow engined.  Also had a Ripmax electric spitfire, not available now but that was nice.

Since my return I've also started learning how to fly helis, quite a challenge.
