Rich Griff
So I may as well be hung for a sheep rather than a lamb then ? Some people on here are more equal than others it seems. It's known that people posting on here can be made to completely dissappear, without trace, apart from stuff saved outside of this place, about this place . That's a buried bag of sweets for a different day. Bmfa digital news ran the incorrect advert all year, including November issue, which was ammended by replacing the incorrect advert with the current advert. So the statement of * only in the hard copies* is/was, incorrect. A screenshot had been taken. Martin Harris - Moderator
I’m not sure what decision is in question as I’m not aware that any posts have been censored recently. A thread was closed today as it had run its course. While moderator decisions must not be questioned on the open forum, there's no problem discussing censorship in general of course.
kc
Democracy depends on free speech so censorship is ,generally, to be deplored. Pointing out errors is important especially when it's incorrect advertising. However when the point has been made and postings were rambling a bit it then maybe the Mods were correct to finalise a thread, but it's still there for us to see. People who have been 'moderated' before on this forum seem to have taken offence and asked for all their comments to be removed which makes some threads unreadable. Possibly their legal right but it's worse than censorship! Don't do that.
leccyflyer
There wasn't any censorship. A thread was closed because it had more than run it's course.
john stones 1 - Moderator
No sheep get hung, sadly we've lost some members who are no longer with us, not a one has been "Disappeared" in my time on here that I know of, some may have chosen not to post, why ? well you'd have to ask them. Censorship ? there's been none, a thread was closed because it had served it's purpose, issue was resolved, we had been made aware of the BMFAs error. Sent you a PM, Rich.
