  1. As John says And avoids hiking it off before the wing is flying, Let the wing lift it off, all under control.
  2. JST PH 2.0mm 4 pin Are correct on ebay
  3. The clue I focussed on Evil, is This affects all aircraft So go over the Tx more carefully, and using the Tx Monitor, just check the Rudder trim tab movement Even check on a model, or servo/ receiver combo. For it to be on all aircraft That does suggest the tranny is controlling RF sim Just seen your post, sorted
  4. Agree with both the above posts, But just check your Tx Monitor That your throttle stick is registering full movement from top to bottom. An interested party at the field picked up my radio and was click clacking the buttons. Later I discovered I had about half stick throttle.
  5. Castle Creations do an alternate for the T rex https://www.makeitbuildit.co.uk/castle-talon-35-25v-35-amp-esc-with-heavy-duty-bec-cc12200-27883
  6. Dont think time, just get comfortable with the gear stable nearby And think Blip Power on receiver Then by the time you move 1 second has elapsed Then Blip the button with thumb
  7. Don't give up Tony, as you say, the weather is a significant factor, and has been very frustrating for some of us, But, when you get going, the pleasure from controlled flying is immense. Don't be afraid to ask friends, as they can be holding back so as not to overwhelm you, and can be in fact just waiting for you to ask. Also Be ready for flight, when you ask. Don't ask, then start assembling your model, putting the wing on, and finding a battery, be flight ready for your instruction.
  8. Have run through some working Buddy pairs and the following list contains common factors. And other makes too. The Slave provides a sticks only connection and No RF. The Slave on 3 makes is switched Off and self powered. The Master on 3 makes tested, provides power to the Slave ( off ) when the cable is connected ( the Slave comes on ) The Master is bound to the model, the Slave is not, No RF required from Slave.
  9. Just the same here as Frank's set up Paul, all working and the Master decides everything, But unlike your set up This working setup has A fully charged battery pack in the Slave Tx. This applies to other makes of working set ups too. You have explained your single power source in your post, but I have no experience of single battery pack buddy, soldered across the 2 Tx Though that should work when the Master is turned On, where normally the Slave is turned Off, and always Off, so is unable to Transmit.
  10. Just be mindful, on many / most transmitters, the Failsafe does not work fully across Mixing. Just test it as you go.
  11. Next time out, just throttle back, And when it starts to act like a rip rap, Be aware of the throttle at all times, and get the stick back in the middle.
  12. The BMFA magazine that showed up at my place before Christmas Was of much improved quality of paper and printing, a nice surprise.
  13. SD cards are not universally reliable Rocker. I would try another card.
  14. Raising the ailerons a little results in adding an amount of dihedral and just delays that particular wings Stall a little longer. The old fellas taught this when I was a lad, and now I am the old fella improving stability of flat wingers with the Reflex method.
  15. Have used ebay from 2002 and for good or bad, the bad is awful. But the good side, for the expense involved, is the " shop window ", it is huge. If you list right, 100s of buyers can see your window. If you use all of the tools, security is airtight, and if you list, describe, and photo accurately then it is plain sailing. Using the tools, after the sale, you have no need of a pen, just press the button for an address post paid label.
  16. Watching with interest Greg, as so many others our age, will read and stay in the background. You are helping others take the plunge too with your open mind to the hobby So not too many PMs please, as We are all watching your progress, and believe me, you are moving forward And we want to read about it.
  17. Geoff, double check your batteries at 4.2v in an indoor flight, as All of my 1S fly at that as the auto charger stops at 4.2v And I fly at least 10 minutes. I do agree though that 1S are a toss of a coin on longevity and some last just one season
  18. The beauty of a stabiliser is that it has already detected and started to correct the direction of flight before you even see it yourself. A properly installed stabiliser would avoid a death dive, though such a dive does sound like a stall.
  19. If you stick to 6V, then have a look at Nexus receiver packs https://www.nexusmodels.co.uk/batterys-accessories-batteries/nimh-batteries-nicd-pack/6-0v-receiver-packs.html?p=1
  20. It has already been suggested, but I do the cheque banking by iPhone on my banks Photo App, and these cheques go on the account 2 or 3 days later, without going to the bank. Fraudsters would need to access my hand to get into the account as my fingerprint signs into the bank.
  21. Hi Didier, I see you chose a more suitable model. If you want to fit and run your motor without flooding, and inverted Build a floor of your own design low down on the front bottom of this picture, For your fuel tank to be correctly feeding more inline with your carb As the original is designed for electric propulsion.
  22. 40 minutes left today on eBay
  23. Have done some numbers Didier, for the FS26 and it will be marginal in the Hound Dog as Peter states. The original model 50" span around 4 lb weight, about 1800grms. You are right to aim for 3.25lb about 1470grm, just to take off and maintain flight with the .26.
  24. The tank and pipes have become unreliable due to pressure leaks. If you replace these, then check, even if brand new, that the set up is pressure tight outside the model
  25. These are ok for 20" span on 2S, but I can't find in stock anywhere Just Google micro motor
