Charlie Hayden
Tony Nijhuis Jet Provost built from TN woodpack and RCM&E Plan. Flew great once in the air. A bit fast for me though.

David Hazell 1
No pics of build, but this is from May 2020: @Timo Starkloff's  Yak-9. I took a liberty with the canopy which I fashioned from a Lidl washing up bottle, hardly scale, but never mind, it could easily enough be replaced if I so wished! Finished AUW including 2200mah 3S is 811g. I hope to test fly tomorrow. Oh I added a rudder so it has one extra control surface compared to the plan, and I used two servo's for the aileron, but then it's leccy, so one less as no throttle servo needed.
Ton van Munsteren
The last post was from July 2022. Not many new pics of models build from the free plans.  Hoping to see some pics of the Dec 2023 free plan model called YELLOW.  Mine is still flying even did some flying today in the rain.
Nigel Grant 1
Hi Ton Unfortunately the RCM&E takes a few months to get down here to the local model shop here in Christchurch NZ. I am looking for a new park fly model to build and your LEMON looks just the ticket. It looks like it has ailerons. Is the motor about 150 - 200W running off a 3s 1000Â mah battery? Ton van Munsteren
Hi Nigel, Great that you like the Yellow and yes it will make a great parkflyer. Yes motor 150-200W and I fly a 3s 1000 which is a perfect combi. Yes its with ailerons and I don't use a rudder.  Cheers, Ton
Edward Po
Manage to complete and carried out maiden flight on my birthday. Other than some up trim, it flew beautifully. Thank you Ton Von Munteren for sharing your design! My next project Mustang P-51B. Edited December 26, 2023 by Edward Po
Franz Stockinger
Hi Ton, managed to maiden the Yellow yesterday between rain showers. Flies like on rails from the beginning, setup almost as recommended. Love it! Span is a little shorter, only 78 cm. Akku is a 1300 mAH. And the prop is an ApC 7x6, motor as recommended. Speed ctr. is Wasaby 35 Amp. Stephen Jones
I have had a look through this topic (Pics from your free RCME plan build) from start to finish. 🤔 Where has all these years gone ?  Some of my plan builds need to be added to this list. And I need to get some of my own plans built, time is just passing by so fast.  Steve ( time 🪰 🪰🪰 by)

Futura57
Here is my Lightning pusher (built Nov 2022) from the Tony Nijhuis plan RCM&E 2008. Despite following the suggested balsa grades and electrics, she came out at 800g balanced with a 3S 2200 lipo (upper recommended is 700g)! I also saved weight by not fitting ailerons due to their reported over sensitivity and the lack of them on the subsequent EDF version. No lie, it took 29 failed hand launches before she finally flew on the 30th. Not to mention a few knocks and repairs in between. Shame, she looked great after covering, but a casualty of war by the time of the first proper flight. The darn thing just kept flipping inverted until enough speed was gained for effective elevon control, by which time the ground kept rising too quickly. The trick, for me, was to tilt the motor so it effectively pushed the tail down just a tiny bit AND to hand launch it like Tessa Sanderson. Once I mastered the javelin launch it was 5 minutes of high adrenalin fun at around 120 mph. Lasted about 30 flights before an elevon servo failure (Tower Pro 9g IIRC). Blue foam canopy.       Edited March 22 by Futura57
