Evening all!

Well the Channel 4 highlights programme was on a little earlier than I'd realised,  so it's time now to see who scored what in today's race;

14 14 2 PSS Power Flyer 165
15 16 1 teewrex John Tee 164
16 7 3 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 149

And it's Iqon taking top place today with 264 points.

Second, with 246 points is Tony.

And third is Chris with 235 points.

Well done to today's top 3!  Remember of course that the points are rather higher this weekend with points being earned from the Sprint race as well as the main race.

Let's look next at the overall table as it stands this evening;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 1 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 848
2 2 0 Iqonic racing iqon 793
3 3 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 762
4 4 1 Pitts Specials john stones 723
5 5 1 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 705
6 6 4 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 673
7 7 3 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 672
8 8 1 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 667
9 9 1 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 658
10 10 1 Hans Brake Zoonie 638
11 11 0 Revers Racing Pete B 633
12 12 1 Torque of the devil Stu 598
= 13 1 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 598
14 14 2 PSS Power Flyer 563
15 15 1 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 491
16 16 1 teewrex John Tee 477

No place changes in the top 3,  but John S and GrumpyGnome each move up a place to 4th and 5th respectively.

Kev's 4th place points today move him up 4 places in the table to 6th,  with Simon heading 3 places in the opposite direction to 7th.  Kev though is just one point ahead of Simon.

Also moving down, but only one place each, are Charles, myself, and Zoonie.  We now occupy 8th, 9th, and 10th places.

Stu and Karl each move up a place to 11th and 12th, with Ade dropping two places to 14th.

Finally, at the foot of the table Glenn and John T swap places.

Next weekend it's Miami,  with qualifying at 9pm UK-time on Saturday,  and the race at 8:30pm on Sunday.

Don't forget your predictions!

Congrats to Igor, Tony... and Kevin for climbing up 4 places in the overall standings.

Gaston's team did a very nice job, but I was lousy (again...) with my predictions scoring only a couple of 'nearly'... and five 'wrong'...  🤪  ...

See you all at the 'dry marina' next week-end.

Cheers

Chris

Evening all!

Miami this weekend,  and everything is a bit later in the day for us!  First the customary reminder;

Don't forget your predictions!

Only P1 has been completed so far, and there's a rather unfamiliar look to the results with a Mercedes one-two!  Russell set fastest time,  over a fifth of a second ahead of Hamilton.  Leclerc was third fastest, with Verstappen down in 4th, over 4-tenths of a second behind Russell.  Perez was down in 11th.

P2 starts at 10:30 pm UK-time, a bit over half an hour from now as I write this.  P3 is at 5:30 pm tomorrow followed by qualifying at 9 pm.  I think I'll setup some 'banker' predictions now,  and be ready to tweak them after P2 and maybe again after P3.  Sunday's race is at 8:30 pm.

Good luck everyone!

I have made my predictions.

It was only a question of time before Mercedes got their act together.

Did anyone else watch "Le Mans" last week.  Just got around to it. The whole thing was apparently a good old USA................  Apparently did not include Lola, Eric Broadly, Wyer and others, in the UK.

OK folks,  with today's race being a bit late in the day,  the Channel 4 recorded highlights are very late.  Or rather, quite early on Monday morning!

So I'll post our results now,  assuming that anyone desperate not to get any clue as to the result isn't surfing the net looking in places where that result - or clues to it - might be found!

IF YOU ARE WAITING TO WATCH THE RECORDED HIGHLIGHTS OF TODAY'S RACE AND DON'T WANT TO SEE ANY 'HINTS' ABOUT THE RESULT, PLEASE READ NO FURTHER!

So,  having said that (and scrolled down a bit!) here are our scores for the Miami GP;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 9 4 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 209
2 1 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 192
3 5 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 175
4 3 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 174
= 2 0 Iqonic racing iqon 174
6 6 1 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 166
7 4 0 Pitts Specials john stones 165
8 7 2 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 162
9 11 0 Revers Racing Pete B 160
10 15 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 154
11 8 2 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 141
12 10 2 Team Charles Picd Charles Pic 134
13 14 0 PSS Power Flyer 126
14 12 2 Hans Brake Zoonie 122
15 13 1 Torque of the devil Stu 103
16 16 0 teewrex John Tee 102

Top place with 209 points goes to Carl.

Tony takes second place with 192 points.

GrumpyGnome takes third place with 175 points.

Well done to today's top three!  And a special mention to Chris and Iqon who were both only 1 point behind 3rd place.

Let's take a look now at the overall table;

Pos League
Rank
Team Manager Pts
1 1 0 Essex Racing Tony Clark 1040
2 2 0 Iqonic racing iqon 967
3 3 0 GASTON Formula Chris McG 936

5 5 0 LetsGoTotoLetsGo GrumpyGnome 880
6 6 1 DMFC Racing Team Simon Webb 838
7 7 2 The JP Specials johnpflyrc 820
8 8 2 Norfolk Flyers Kevin Fairgrieve 814
9 9 4 Mannschaft Carl Brotherton 807

13 13 1 Torque of the devil Stu 701
14 14 0 PSS Power Flyer 689
15 15 0 Oyster f1 Glenn Philbrick 645
16 16 0 teewrex John Tee 579

No changes in the top 5.

Simon moves up 1 position to 6th, and I move up 2 places to 7th.  This means that Kev slips 2 positions to 8th.

Carl's impressive score today moves him up 4 places to 9th,  with Charles and Zoonie each dropping 2 places to 10th and 12th and Stu slipping 1 place to 13th.

All other positions remain unchanged.

Next up is Italy in 2 weeks time, at a more 'normal' time of day.

Don't forget your predictions!

Congrats to Carl, Tony (again ! ...) & to Grumpy G.

We all know that Max drives a 'rocketship' RBR... but Tony must have one as well as he just seems to be 'flying' away in our League's overall standing...  😎  🙃  🙂

See you all in 'spaghetti zone'...

  • 2 weeks later...

Evening all,

Well,  no reminder about predictions today...  As you're all probably aware, the awful weather conditions in the Emilia Romagna region have meant that this weekend's Grand Prix has been cancelled.

Given the circumstances this does seem the only sensible option.  It is possible the race might be re-scheduled for later in the season,  though this looks unlikely.

In the meantime F1 is donating €1m to a flooding relief fund.  Ferrari donated the same amout yesterday - their Maranello factory is in Emilia-Romagna.

The next race is now next weekend in Monaco.

... and young Yuki was helping cleaning mud on the streets in Faenza, home of his Alpha Tauri squadra.

He didn't make mention of it himself but the local citizens thanked him with pics on their social media... nice gesture, I think...

Evening all,

Monaco this weekend,  so first the customary reminder;

Don't forget your predictions!

P1 finished early as Allbon crashed,  leaving Sainz, Alonso, Hamilton, Perez and Leclerc with the top 5 lap times.  Verstappen was sixth.

P2 saw Verstppen setting fastest time from the Ferraris of Leclerc and Sainz with Alonso 4th, followed by Norris, Hamilton and Perez.

Qualifying is tomorrow at 3pm UK-time,  with the race at 2pm on Sunday.

Bonne chance à tous!

Thought I would take it easy on you all, in hospital for last 2 races. Better make that 1. Was let out for good behaviour late last night. Internet / phone a joke. Have no idea how I will do.

... welcome back home, Igor.

No worries, you'll do fine in Monaco. Anyhow it 's also a 'gamble' city, doesn't it...
