Hamish Posted November 17, 2017 Share Posted November 17, 2017 "the problem had revealed its self." Is this a clue? Engine is out and on the bench which tends to eliminate fuel line, pressure feed. Not an engine guru but after only three minutes would doubt sufficient oil had accumulated to cause problem. Will wait in anticipation for answer. J D 8 Posted November 17, 2017 Author Share Posted November 17, 2017 Here is the answer.I recon ED was the nearest with congested crank case. The crank case breather nipple was not blocked it just had a tiny hole in it just enough to fit a pin through. Some preassure/oil was escaping but not enough and after about three min's running time it clogged up. After sitting on the ground for a bit the pressure would drop and some oil escape and it would then be happy for another three min,s A pool of oil on the table gave the game away.
