Alan Gordon 5
Hi Guys I am sure this has been discussed, but according to the web, Solarfilm are still in business ! Can anyone advise if this is the case.
Peter Miller
They are just selling off their remaining stock.
John Lee
I've bought off them twice this year. Their website shows all available stock, if they have what you are after don't be afraid to snap it up while you can.
leccyflyer
Like Peter said, they have been selling off their remaining stocks. Though I'll miss Solartex and Prymol, I won't miss the original Solarfilm, which has been superceded by far superior products which are easier to apply, have a wider temperature range and give a more robust and tighter covering which doesn't go wrinkly in the sun. David Holland 2
I’m pretty sure this has been asked before as well, but does anybody know of an alternative to Prymol? David
GrumpyGnome
Anyone know if Solarfilm are really back up and running ? Their web site has been updated in 2021 and they seem to be selling all products again ....... some colours unavailable...... GG
Martin Harris - Moderator
All the popular Solartex colours are still shown as unavailable so I doubt it.
GrumpyGnome
Maybe they unearthed some hidden/lost stock ......
EarlyBird
Servo Shop are showing lots of colours in stock. Interesting.
GrumpyGnome
Well, I ordered some to repair my SFM Fokker, and avoid a total recover. The paypal payment has gone through and Solarfilm have confirmed the order - all automated of course! According to the Solarfilm web site, it will be despatched on Friday. If it turns up Ok, I will order some PC10 Solartex which was showing as in stock. GG
Matt Carlton
I had an email from Solarfilm confirming there has been no new production since 2018. I don't know what the remaining stocks are like, but it would appear that they are definitely finite.
Chris Walby
I used the web site a few weeks back, really good, if its in stock you can have it and if not then you know...none of this back order rubbish. Film ordered and it turned up a few days later and no problems. I will keep using them until they have nothing left.
GrumpyGnome
Well, as promised on the web site, my order has been posted...... I prefer HK film apart from the white lines on the edges. GG
