i12fly
Beautiful 'plane, seen it a couple of times at Old Warden. Very graceful and surprisingly manoeuvrable at relatively low level. Essential TV for me. Might need to use subtitles Edited By i12fly on 24/01/2021 16:33:

kc
Thanks for that info Ken. Perhaps someone will explain to me why I am paying a licence fee to the BBC to broadcast programmes that are not transmitted in England!

kc
It's the BRITISH broadcasting corp which surely means ALL of Britain!
PatMc
Not all BBC TV programmes are broadcast to all of Britain & never have been for a long time (if they ever were). Which region/country receives a specific live broadcast depends on several criteria, e.g. the target audience of the production company, the language used, the likely limited interest of the subject of the programme to "mainstream" channel audience, etc. Note that the ALBA channel is not wholly owned by the BBC. Also, as has already been pointed out, this particular programme will be available on iPlayer after broadcast. John Lee
Yes, Freesat Channel 109, they have also done an excellent series on the Highland Airports ("Puirt-adhair" ) which is well worth catching if it's repeated: Edited By John Lee on 24/01/2021 20:55:

John Lee
Good program, well worth a look. About 50% Gaelic with English sub-titles, 50% English. Some good historic content in addition to the shore recovery operation, engine change, relaunching & flying out of "Miss Pick Up".
