Grahamd
Despite the shortage, I searched the Web and found a few stockists in the UK of the sfm se5a kit. £99 was the lowest price and was dualy ordered and received with free p&p bargin. Just starting to get everything together, and since when did covering become so expensive? £30 for 2mtrs? Wow.
gillyg1
Try" Diacov" available from " sarik hobbies" who have a sale on now until the 31st. Never used it personally so no experience of it. But reviews seem good, £10 / running mtr. ?
Richard Acland
Try Hobbyking around £13 for 5meters. Excellent film.

Rich Griff
Thanks guys, much appreciated, never got anything from hobby king, time to become a customer, just for film for now, must stay focused, just want covering material. I'm gunna have to register with them to see video... Anything else needed to use that film like balsa lock it similar ? Any pitfalls using HK film or is it as easy as solar film ? Don Fry
HobbyKing film applies as Profilm. Same temperatures, same shrink..
Eric Robson
Rapid RC sell covering film under their own name in a large range of colours at £4 per mtr. I cannot comment on it as I have not tried it.
Trevor
I've used Rapid RC's film on my latest build. It's very similar to (maybe even the same as?) HobbyKIng's. Trevor
Grahamd
Thanks, may have to get some of Rapids film, much better price than what I have found.

One thing to note with Hobbyking film. The backing film is very thin and it can appear that there isn't any. Be sure to remove it before trying heat on the film. As you can see from my picture it does a very good job. Edited February 1, 2022 by Richard Acland
Rich Griff
Thanks for that...HK site is very "busy"...ordering 3 colours to try...feedback of experience when the film is used. Not sure if there is gunna be any import duty pushing price up, hope not.

Ace
Just remember to stay below £135 inc any P & P if Hobby King are collecting VAT to avoid additional charges.
Grahamd
And we're off and running, reminds me of skyshark kits and how they snapped together, which is just as well the manual is pretty weak and just consists of pictures. GrumpyGnome
It's quite a straightforward build, if I remember correctly..... enjoyable!

Grahamd
As stated manual is terrible and pictures are so unclear, to work out where the longerons went I dry fitted one of the formers to get an idea of where, as picture is wrong and very unclear. Grahamd
Center crutch assembled to one side, so far apart from the manual, it fits very very well. (fyi red bag is 1kg diving weight (leadshot equivalent)).
