In the air apart from the folded blades it should look exactly like an FX-707 RC glider. Well that's the plan. Cool - I will be interested to see details of the motor and prop you choose, as I have never really done a motor glider at this kind of size and weight before, and don't know anything about the tiny quad motors that seem to be in vogue for these kind of things. toto
well .....ventured out into the shed to inspect the Easyglider 4 that arrived yesterday. Just as well I did ..... big gouge in the packaging ....... translating to ...... big gouge in the main box ........ translating to ...... no damage of any of the model parts ...... yippee. all fine and dandy ....... same with the rudder section ..... and the elevator section ...... so far so good ..... wing spar ...... fuselage ..... and another ...... a peek in the hatch ..... rather nice hatch lid ..... well finished and solid. destructions ....... I'm happy that there is no damage .... so its a keeper. I won't be touching this for the moment until I have done more about contacting a soaring club etc but its ready to go when I do. looks pretty solid and when built ..... even more so as all the pieces seem to interlock adding to the strength. Thats that for now ..... toto

I have the Twinstar, the Easystar and the Mentor. I sold the Easyglider years ago to a sloap soaring enthusiast and he got a lot of enjoyment from that plane as I did also. It will be a nice wee plane for you to take to the hills on windy days when your other planes are grounded. Good luck with that.
toto
Thanks Aidan, I was impressed at how solid it looks. The elevators and rudder wont take much abuse but the over construction is well thought out and to a great extent " inter- supporting ". Just need to take care in handling and transportation. Pretty impressive for the money. Toto
Learner
Just as happy on the flat as the slope so you can take it to your club for a maiden and test flight if you wish.

Anything that flies will do me. Multiplex foamies are literally the best in the business - impeccably designed, and essentially impossible to assemble wrongly as a result. They are awesome bits of kit and always fly well, though all that careful design can make them initially appear a bit expensive compared to some other options. Anyway, I wouldn't be too cagey about building it quickly - after all, these are designed to be assembled in a few hours, you have plenty of expertise in that now, and Mpx models are way easier than most PNP/ARTFs. By all means contact the soaring club by phone first, but given you have reached a stage where you can competently fly your power model around most of the time, there is no point in going to the hill first time without a model. I say assemble it, set it up on your radio, take it with you for them to check over, then if conditions are suitable and they are happy with i, it can be test flown by one of them. You might even get a go once it's trimmed out. Happy soaring!
Paul De Tourtoulon
You can't beat a multiplex glider, the others are just second hand cheap Chinese copy's.
GrumpyGnome
Lol. Best tell all the owners of the nice mouldies, which make Multiplex look very cheap.......
aidan mcatamney
I passed my A Certificate Fixed Wing Test with my trusty and reliable Multiplex Twinstar. This was a few years ago and in the picture is BMFA Area Examiner Robert Graham who overseen the test.

That was years ago and I was passed legitimately by a fully qualified BMFA Chief Examiner who is a British RC Aerobatics champion numerous times. So you can congratulate me Ron on my achievement. Many thanks.
Ron Gray
Steady tiger, I was just commenting on the fact that it didn't have U/C therefore it must have been a time ago! But why you would add the details of who passed you is beyond me! I also think that it may be a bit confusing to any newcomer to the sport. If you are seeking congratulations then so be it. I hereby congratulate you on passing your A. 👏

I hereby congratulate you on passing your A. 👏 With all due respect Ron, Robert Graham is a life long friend of mine and why wouldn't I mention his name as the chief Examiner who passed me. I'm proud of myself for passing the BMFA A Certificate Fixed Wing and I'm proud also to be the friend of one of the best RC Pilots that this country has ever produced. On the day of the test it was by no means easy as Robert treated me no differently to any other pilot. He carried out the test with the utmost professionalism and when it was finally over he shook my hand and congratulated me , saying Aidan, very well done you have passed with flying colours. I drove home that day from the flying field as proud as punch but also knowing fine well that I had to work hard to achieve what I had accomplished. The framed certificate hangs proudly all these years later in my living room at home and I count it as one of the best things I've ever done in my life. That's how much it means to me . I take this opportunity now in wishing all my fellow RC pilots who are thinking about taking their A Certificate Fixed Wing Test all the best and I sincerely hope you achieve your goals. Kind regards Aidan.
