ron evans
Not sure if these models could be called classic, but the full size certainly were so here goes. Two more by Tim Angel, a turbine Jet Provost, and a radial powered Jungmeister. Edited July 20, 2023 by ron evans

Fast and very manoeuvrable, it was (and is) loved by pilots who enjoy high performance flying. The one pictured here was built in 1997 for my boy, then aged 11, to stop him constantly nicking my one.. Lol. It is still going strong. Beautiful photo.

Think I have the plan for this somewhere, a freebee from RCM&E?? Another one for my 'too build' list lol !

Futura57
Well I reckon the Keil Kraft Student is a classic model aeroplane. I had one back in 1975. She was my first aileron trainer. 6 months ago I took a nostalgia trip and built another from the plan. 5

leccyflyer
The Miniature Aircraft Factory's Mini Flying Machine was certainly a classic in the NW of England in the 90's- hugely popular small model. Mine is second hand - it's the prototype, built by the designer Peter Kent. Originally powered by Cox .049, then I electrified the model to a hot Speed 480 motor on 8 cells, before she ended up in the current configuration of a Keda 2300kv inrunner, 6x4 prop and 3s1p 1300mah lipo. Goes like stink, terrifyingly quick roll rate, the fastest acceleration of any of my models, but throttled back is super stable and can land on a sixpence.

2.4g Shaun
Here's a couple of Veron classics. My Cherokee and Tomtit converted to e-power and built from kits - just to upset the collectors 😆😆 Both fly on a 4S set up. Cherokee film covered, Tomtit solartex, no vinyls, all detail and lettering painted on by my mate Gary.👍 Edited July 26, 2023 by 2.4g Shaun Added more detail.

Not a sixpence Brian but a very small tarpaulin in a howling wind... Spot landing winner👍

I am very jealous. I spotted the Cherokee plan on OuterZone recently and am considering adding one to my build pipeline.

Mike T
After you left I realised I hadn't tested the servos 😱 I assume they were OK? Pity my sales patter wasn't good enough to persuade you to take my 1/4 scale Piper Cub as well! 😆

Engine Doctor
You need more rubber bands on that tail plane Gary or better still fix it permanently or at least on a locating spigot do it cant move in flight. We had a Majestic Major ( big j 60 ish) die at the field when the tail moved !

We had a Majestic Major ( big j 60 ish) die at the field when the tail moved ! The photo were from the for sale post the seller posted Phil,, yes it will be banded properly unfortunately the tailplane cant be perminantly fixed for storage reasons which as you will see from photo below my model storage is rather tight which will be getter even tighter when my new Panic comes next month and yes i remember you telling me the majestic major story which unlike that gentleman I at least fly vintage models properly and not try tight manouvers like he did Edited December 7, 2023 by GaryWebb

An idea I do have Phil is using a piece of non slip shelf liner under the tailplane on the tailplane bed like what i do with lipos in electric models rather than sticking velcro on batteries like whats on the battery try in the below photo... shud do the trick.. works perfectly with lipos in electric models Edited December 7, 2023 by GaryWebb
