Peter Miller
I also just noticed that the spinner has been smashed, you can still see the nose cone retaining screw in the spinner back plate. Stevo
Is this "ebay sellers" or "aircrash investigation"? Lol..
cymaz
"challenge".....that's a bit of an understatement ! Not even a glow plug or carb.....cheek!
mightypeesh
Very impressive the way the engine mount has been bent open to get the engine to fit in the gap in the last picture - I can only see the tips of two self-tappers almost holding it on too! Still, look on the bright side - free postage!!!

Dai Fledermaus
I'd like to see this engine "working" as is claimed without a carburettor. Note the description and the price. LINK Edited By Dai Fledermaus on 02/08/2015 15:17:
Phil Winks
I'd say he's no idea what he's selling or worse he's deliberately being misleading. A message suggesting a video of it working, as described, would be interesting to see as the carb is missing got this response. " I'm sorry but I have no facilities to do that" go figure gents. Daithi O Buitigh
He changed the description to 'The condition is as shown in the pictures'
Phil Winks
Posted by Daithi O Buitigh on 02/08/2015 16:11:29: He changed the description to 'The condition is as shown in the pictures' Mainly, I think, because of the following conversation I had with him. My 1st message "Hi I'd be interested to see a video of this engine working, as described, as it's missing its carburetor Regards Phil" his reply "Sorry I have no facilities to do that " Regards Craig to which I replied "That's fine but can you explain how it is being sold as working when without a carburetor it obviously won't" Regards Phil at this point he changed the description and replied "I didn't think it was listed as Sold as working " then he had the temerity to add "Okay £50 it is then Regards Craig" I, needless to say, won't be answering that last message lol

MikeS
Yes I admit it I am in need of dirty engine paper weight and the more expensive the better. But how did you know Phil.
Vaughan Wilson
Regarding the "paper weight" you could make a derisory offer of £0.99, if he receives several of these offers he might get the message that what he is selling is rubbish. cymaz
HERE is a piece of "objet d'art" as the seller describes, or a working engine. Looks like there is some nice engines for sale. Dai Fledermaus
AS Frank Carson would say "That's a cracker" This guy wants to sell his scooter because he 's Dyslexic. Now there is no shame in that, but he then says that prevents him from filling the necessary DVLA forms to register the vehicle. Strange then how he's managed to put together the listing for it's sale. LINK
Peter Miller
Sounds peculiar!! If someone helped him compose the advert why didn't they help with the forms. I smell a rat
Wiltshire Flyer
Surely it's worth much more than the quoted £800?
