Rob Fairweather 1
Well found Doc. . . . . . It would be kind to buy that Irvine just to put it out of its misery.
Peter Miller
There must be £25 worth of epoxy and filler round that carb!!!
will -0
It always amazes me not that people put that sort of stuff up for sale, but that it's £25 asking price. I mean, fair enough someone might be able to recover parts or whatever, but it's basically scrap metal. I have a rule that I try very hard to stick to - don't buy crap no matter the price. There's plenty of perfectly good stuff to go round. Sadly some things I've missed out on - you used to be able to buy a saito 30 open rocker for £50-£80 15 years ago, not any more. Jon H
Good lord. Cable ties and binding wire too! I wonder if they just lost the mounting screws? I suspect there is damage to the crankcase, but its a right old mess. I bet it still runs though
Bob Cotsford
It's been planted vertically in hard earth which has broken the rear half of the carb boss off. How do I know? I did it to a Merco 35 in the 1970's but I repaired that with a small amount of silicon rubber. That engine went on to fly several more models before being honourably retired. Being kind, maybe the Irvine owner just needed more weight in the nose and couldn't think where else to put it?
Paul Marsh
Just for fun,the Pics. Good grief! it's not worth £1 at a Swap meet, and bought many engines £5 all fully working, but this.. See his other engines, not as bad as this one, but all look scrap, missing bits, knackered, though one looks ok, but asking way too much for probably a pile of scrap. kevin b
This one is curious. Not because of the model. Why would you need a lawn mower when you have imitation grass ? **LINK**

Jon H
its one of those engines where you fit a £4 glowplug and its still only worth a quid
Paul Marsh
I did buy this a few years ago at a Swapmeet, £10 including glo plug. Was a brand new 120FS but remember on the first flight, the model crashed. the guy sold it, as the exhaust area on the head was damaged, a few threads left. but was brand new. Re-assembled it and runs well.

Dave Cunnington
Will the weight of the glow plug be enough to put it back on it's trike wheels ? …………..and what about the strength of the butchered engine mount ? …………..nah, don't think I'll bother with that one Edited By Dave Cunnington on 06/05/2020 15:40:
Jon H
I love the way they always put 'rare' in ebay titles. Any useless old heap of junk seems to gain value if you say its 'rare'. Also, Cholera is rare, but you wouldnt want it!
Stephen Smith 14
Was going to make an offer for this but £20 postage means I could only make an offer of minus £18.
