Martin Harris - Moderator
I seem to have intermittent access to the forum this evening but another mod hasn't seen any problems. I have been contacted by a forum user local to me using the same ISP getting the same - anyone else having problems with access this evening? leccyflyer
Yes - a repeated issue giving an error that the page is giving too many redirects. Advice is to clear cookies and cache, which #i tried several times to no avail.
Caveman
Using Edge on my PC I can access the forum, but when I tried to post I got a too many redirections error. Just cleared cookies and can now read messages. If you can read this then I can also post a message, On my iPad it won't load at all with the message, 'The error was: "Load cannot follow more than 20 redirections".' Dickw
After many attempts I managed to get to this site. The problem started for me late afternoon and seems to be gradually getting worse. Dick
Martin Harris - Moderator
There may be a common factor - the 3 affected people I know of use BTInternet in the northern home counties - is this the case for others?
leccyflyer
BT Broadband in Scotland here. The problem is present across different browsers and is intermittently occurring this morning as well.
David P Williams
Yep, same here. Sky broadband/iPad/Safari in midlands.
RedBaron
Same problem in Southampton area with Zen and Vivaldi. So it is clearly a forums problem. What is the use of a message saying "Too many redirects"? what does it mean And suggesting that I delete some cookies without telling me which is cretinous beyond belief So get to it Modelflyingforums and get this fixed. Perhaps an apology from the person who caused the problem would be good

Perhaps an apology from the person who caused the problem would be good Woah, did you get out of bed the wrong side today?!! Jeez, this is a free model flying forum, not a 999 call service. If you don’t like the service go somewhere else, but don’t name call when you have no idea what the issue is or how it was caused, though a simple Google would have got you information on that… https://kinsta.com/blog/err_too_many_redirects/ Based on this it would appear the most likely causes are a site config issue or a (third party) update to a browser plug-in - if no changes were made to the site config itself recently, the latter would appear to be more likely. Tim Kearsley
Same problem here since Monday midday - too many redirects. Both on an Android tablet and a Windows PC. Plusnet user located in the east Midlands. Edit: Both using Chrome I should add. Edited July 4, 2023 by Tim Kearsley

David Ashby
Finally, just got back in. I haven't been able to get on to apologise, but apologies everyone. It seems that a 'quick server move' was made yesterday.... 2

perttime
A few hours ago, trying to enter, I got a message that said something about cookies. Firefox on Windows 10. Outside UK.
Martin Harris - Moderator
You may need to clear your cookies. I could access the forum from my PC and mobile except when using Firefox on my iPhone. I cleared the history for today and yesterday which has resolved this. This may be helpful to affected Firefox mobile users who’ve arrived here by other means…
RedBaron
Quote of Matty "Woah, did you get out of bed the wrong side today?!! Jeez," With regard to getting out of bed the wrong side - I don't think so Some update to my browser - no I know so as my Browsers have no add-ins and are locked so they cant update A "quick server move" by someone who did not bother to check their work would do it :)
