Neil James
I’ve been crimping up my own servo leads and extensions for a while now but so far I’ve only ever found the plug/socket shells available in black. Being able to colour code connectors would be very useful in some circumstances so has anyone come across a supplier of shells in different colours? Dickw
A quick search on ebay using the term "Futaba JR red" brings up at least one source of red housings, but nothing for any other colours. I do use red in some circumstances, but agree it would be nice to have a few other colours as well. Some equipment I have does use blue or white connector housings, so they must have been available at some time in the past. Dick
Paul De Tourtoulon
I just put coloured tie raps on them,,,
PeterF
They are available in the US in many colours https://www.hansenhobbies.com/products/connectors/servoconnectors/ and blue in Europe https://www.ercmarket.com/servo-connector-futaba-female-blue-line-made-in-germany-for-construction10-pcs/ but not found in UK, so my post may be as helpful as the proverbial chocolate tea pot I am afraid. John Lee
I've got some blue ones which I think came from either Als Hobbies or Component Shop at one of the shows. Nexus list transparent ones & Component Shop red ones. At the risk of hijacking the thread I use 'Servo Lead ID's' as illustrated for the same purpose, but am running out. Anyone know of a source of something similar, I can find various ones online but all are out of stock. Ron Gray
I just print mine with my Dymo label maker for which there are different coloured labels available.
Geoff S
I either use Ashlok multiway connectors which removes the need for ID or use a wrap of masking tape labelled with a pen. Though the servo lead ID lables from Electricwingman look OK.
Bruce Collinson
8 MM coloured circle stickers are ridiculously cheap, 5 colours on a sheet typically so it’s possible to colour match 5 pairs of leads. I suppose they could be annotated with a fine felt tip pen in case the function isn’t self evident. BTC
PatMc
I just give dabs of different colour paint to each servo male with matching colour to corresponding female.
leccyflyer
I just put the channel number on both sides of the plug with a white correction fluid pen or silver paint marker.

GrumpyGnome
Coloured cable ties for me...... not the neatest thing in the world but cheap, durable, and effective.
